I like Paul Giamatti's wife, the Axe shrink.
Enjoying this show, although I think the critics don't like it very much. Apparently it's already been renewed for a second season so we can get invested.

Me too, BRODY!!! Poor Brody. I miss him on Homeland.

My husband and I work in that industry, and there are plenty of references to actual hedge fund, SEC and US Attorney jokes, stereotypes, famous stories, etc. Axe I believe is based on Steven Cohen, at least parts of it. Plus all the fleece wearing, Ivy bomb dropping, Spitzer references, Skadden shout out, and bad take out food, it's hilarious.

hah, jewish run showbiz would've NEVER cast a jewish person in Axe's role. They are very sensitive over the jewish financier stereotype.

As well they should be, with posts like this.

This astonishes me, because while I don't actually find him attractive, I'm aware that a lot of women do find him attractive.

Maybe he's not aging well. He's very tall and long-legged with a bit of a swagger. Doesn't that do anything for anyone?

It does for me. He's kind of strange looking, but his character is badass and kind of sexy!

I don't think most women would turn old Damien down. He is a British blue blood aristocrat of Downton Abbey proportions. Google it.

I know exactly who he is, i'm British and have been aware of him for years (since his early days on UK tv) but this is different - this is about the US populations perceptions of him as an American.

And I am curious about who genuinely doesn't or does find him attractive.

A friend of mine in London once set her sights on him. I think her exact words were "oh yes, I think I'd like to sleep with Damien Lewis next..."

I think he's attractive with the exception of his mouth/teeth. He plays the part with perfection and I love the show!

I do not find him attractive at all. I do think he is a very good actor, I've liked the roles I've seen him perform and think he plays them well. But I don't find him sexy at all, it probably is because he is a red head and I just don't find red head guys that great looking.

Once you notice how ridiculously small his mouth is compared to his face, you can never unsee it.

Yes, he doesn't do so well in close ups, but I think shots where he is striding around he looks ok.

He's not my type, but I'm sure plenty of women find him attractive. Not sure why it matters?

This American finds him very attractive, but to me, he'll always be Captain Dick Winters.

THere is a kernel of truth to it. The Jewish financier stereotype that is.

the first time I ever saw Lewis was on Homeland - and my first reaction was .....but soon that reaction dulled and I began to find him strangely attractive and very sexy!
All that said, for the role he plays on Billions looks don't matter. So finding someone "better looking", which is totally subjective BTW, would not have added anything to the show. Just like Paul Giamatti's role. he is really unattractive - but such a damn good actor! If either of those roles were filled with hot actors, the story lines and seriousness of the content would have been diluted.

It's weird because Damien Lewis is the kind of guy I normally would think is hot - I like gingers! And I recall finding him attractive on Homeland. He just does not do it for me on Billions, and maybe even repulses me a little. Maybe the swagger is too much. The Metallica thing is kind of ick (totally not my music preference). I don't care for his off-the-clock style. The tiny mouth is super distracting. His character is also kind of ridiculous is that he's blown up to superhero proportions.

You are supposed to find him slightly repulsive -- it's the character.

We LOVE this show I will be so upset when it ends.....Axe is played brilliantly and I have gotten over his funny looks and very odd ventriloquist mouth.

Malin is the only choices I do not agree with...she is just meh.

And Paul is brilliant....he just makes the show. Not a fan of his wife though
