I think your argument has lost all legitimacy. |
If you were a longstanding Washingtonian, you would NOT expect this. You might want it, but you wouldn't expect it. However, I'm impressed by your argument that "poor people don't have enough money to be able to afford to live in non-poor areas where crime is less frequent" is the false bigotry of low expectations (as opposed to the true bigotry of high expectations?). |
I think they are purposely targeting those areas because that's where the $$ is. Not sure if its a spread as much as it is targeting. |
Yes, everybody knows that the only appropriate attire for unsafe locations is pants! Wait, what? |
I would never teach my daughters that it is ok to dress like a ho in an unsafe location. Teach your daughter what you want, but I don't think that would be smart. |
How so? Do you wear short skirts down dark, sketchy alleys alone at night? There are choices we all make to keep ourselves and our belongings safe. Not leaving your purse visible in your car is one of those things most reasonable, intelligent people do to protect themselves. And you still haven't answered - do you lock your front door? |
This is just a really strange argument. As though there were rapists watching a parade of women go by down a dark, sketchy alley. "Nope, not that one, she's wearing pants. Nope, not that one, she's wearing pants too. Nope, not that one, her skirt is too long. Aha! That one! Right there in the above-the-knee skirt!" |
First please tell me what hos wear. Then please describe to me what makes a location safe vs. unsafe. Then please explain why it's ok to dress like a ho in a safe location but not in an unsafe location. |
And your front door? |
So what do you teach your daughters? Wear whatever you want, go anywhere you want, any time, with anyone or even alone if you want? Drink to excess, get lost? Don't bring a phone, etc. How do you prepare your children for the reality we live in? |
Well then they had better be careful if they stop me. I carry and I'm pretty good at "targeting" myself. |
Wow, if you don't know what ho's wear then you are truly living under a rock and have bigger problems. For your safety, I would urge you not to live in the District as you seem to lack some basic common sense. |
For years under Barry the public schools had no toilet paper in the bathrooms and yet DC voters voted for the crook repeatedly. I'd call that "low expectations." |
What do you teach your sons? Do you teach them that they can wear whatever they want, go anywhere they want, any time, with anyone or even alone if they want? Drink to excess, get lost? Don't bring a phone, etc.? |
I didn't know that the DC mayor was personally responsible for toilet paper in school bathrooms. |
