That means two cells: one for work, and one personal. Who needs three? And the track phones are the most worrisome. |
3 cell phones -Personal -Lyft -Uber |
Track phones aren't worrisome. It's one of the cheapest ways of calling your family in another country. Life isn't an episode of 24. |
Manhattan is a borough of NYC. |
No one? |
One prepaid phone for international calls? Most drivers have their families back home. At least the ones I've met. |
If there are no terrorists among these refugees, then having them go to DC shouldn’t be an issue, now should it? But, if there ARE terrorists in their midst, well.................. |
Yeah, that is nice that the governors are writing those letters and all, however, they cannot stop someone who is legally in the US from moving to their state. |
Heartless people who are ignorant of law. Great... |
yup, sounds like a limousine liberal. |
I hope we're never a war torn country seeking asylum elsewhere... |
Yes. Correct Just a few terrorists killed thousands in NY and 130 in Paris |
You can't bomb ideas out of existence. But you can change people's minds by being kind to them. |
George Wallace would be so very proud. Someone needs to remind the knuckledraggers about the Refugee Act of 1980. No doubt an asshole like Greg Abbott is researching some half-baked theory upon which he can sue the Administration and politicize the issue as we move toward the election next November. The talking points about not being able to vet refugees also needs to be quashed. The proposal as it currently stands is to have a two year process for a limited number of individuals. We will be able to track social networks and contacts during that period. If there are any doubts then that person won't be admitted. So don't expect to see many single men in the 20's without college degrees and professional skills and experience. |
1) It's naive to think ISIS hasn't slipped in some wolves among the sheep, if only to conduct Mafia-style shakedowns of the regular refugees.
1a) A Polish cabinet minister has actually suggested forming military units out of the refugees. If we can do that, why the hell not -- bring in some FSA types to oversee the training and build up their ranks. 2) Problem with barring the door is that we now turn some number of the regular refugees or worse yet American citizen Muslims into Daesh sympathisers. Who, of course, can now slip into the country fairly easily, despite the fervent wishes of Trump's wall (which if started in January 2017, wouldn't be ready until the end of 2018), not to mention our oceans and longer, harder to monitor Canadian border. |
