mundo verde REALLY moving

They haven't notified the school just in case something went awry with the sale of their house here/purchase of their new home out of state. I'm heartbroken as I fully hoped our kids would grow up in school together!!! So, look for at least two more slots opening up ...

Are these the same twins who turned down a spot off the lamb waitlist as well?

Not likely, there are many twins in DC people...

True, but clearly the ones in question attend MV. The poster just outed that family amongst their peers families.

No, they were previously at a another bilingual school.

Thanks

I am the friend - yes, they are moving out of state, and did not attend mv last year but enrolled via the lottery this spring. They were very excited, having attended a dcps Spanish immersion school, but we're looking for the focus of mv on sustainability and expeditions.

You are sharing way too much info about your friends!

What is too much? You guys are way too uptight. PP is being helpful and not disclosing anything personal.

Since there can be a stigma about holding a spot you aren't going to use, the family in question may not want to be outed here. All the PP had to say is I know of two kids signed up for PK4 who are likely moving. No need to specify that it is twins who were at another bilingual school. I, for example, am now 99% sure I know who this family is.

Who cares? When they move they will give up spot. Especially if that time is during summer who cares?
Anonymous
They should not give up the spot until they have bought another house and know they are moving, that is not selfish but common sense.
Anonymous
Seriously?

Do you think they will care about the trolls in dcum and what they think after moving out of state? Doubtful.

Sure they played the lottery- and were waiting to confirm all steps here and in their new home before proceeding to unenroll.

Maybe, after seeing the location of the school and the fact that it has no playground, parents seem to be turned off...

The location has been known for three years now. Before these kids were even born!
