Agreed. Also, WSJ quoter, Illinois passed a law recently eliminating the statute of limitations on sexual crimes against children. Just FYI. |
Aren't lots of closet gay man married to a woman? I thought that had been rather common. |
YORKVILLE, Ill. — Former GOP House Speaker Dennis Hastert allegedly made a series of illegally structured bank withdrawals as part of an effort to conceal past sexual misconduct with an unnamed person, a law enforcement official said.
The alleged misconduct occurred years ago when Hastert was an Illinois high school wrestling coach. The person is someone Hastert has known for most of his life, according to the official. Federal authorities would not identify when the alleged misconduct occurred or the nature of it. But the New York Times, citing undisclosed sources, said that a man told the F.B.I. that he had been inappropriately touched by Mr. Hastert when Mr. Hastert was a high school teacher and wrestling coach. The Chicago Sun-Times and Buzzfeed cited anonymous sources who said investigators also interviewed a second alleged victim. Prosecutors have not detailed the wrongdoing, but say the unidentified person was from Yorkville and knew Hastert for much of the individual's life. Bob Evans, who taught with Hastert at Yorkville High School and roomed with him for a couple of years when they were young teachers, said Hastert was a down-to-earth teacher who never lost touch with his roots even after he was launched unexpectedly into the speakership. I know one person who is grateful the news cycle has moved on to Hastert. #JoshDuggar # Boyghazi |
You can't have it both ways. Staff kept the info from Hastert, but Obama knows everything? |
I think the Sandusky penn state scandal gave a lot of people the courage to come out of the woodwork |
So he's gay if his victim was male. |
No, he's a pedophile. Gender of the victim doesn't matter. Many, many pedophiles are married to women. I hate that people conflate gay and child predator. One has nothing to do with the other. |
He's a gay pedophile married to a woman. |
He might not be gay. Pedophiles often select victims based on opportunity not gender. |
Ridiculous. That's the most far-fetched thing I ever heard of, but nice try. Gay men don't seek little girls to sexually abuse, any more than a heterosexual man seeks to abuse boys. The man is clearly gay, or possibly bi, but certainly not heterosexual if the allegations are correct. How can you verify gayness, anyways? |
I'm sorry but the research says you are wrong. The James Madison report on the catholic church's sex scandal covered this if you are interested in learning more. |
If that's your only source, I'm not impressed. Can you name one single gay man sexually abusing a female child? No. They go after boys. |
I'm not impressed with someone who is given research but does not read it. |
This is outside my area of expertise, but isn't there a difference between a pedophile who goes after prepubescent boys and one who is interested in high school boys (who are, presumably, post-puberty)? I can buy the argument that the first group is not gay, but I'm not so sure about the second.
