So they have their first kiss ever (with anyone), first time having sex (which probably lasted 22 seconds), and get pregnant all within 24 hours.

That is so depressing to me.

My sister got pregnant sometime on her honeymoon. It happens.

Oh, to be an early 20-something again

Oh come on.

Women have one night stands all the time with people they just met.

How is this any less weird?

It is like suddenly having sex with a previously very good platonic friend. It was probably nice.

Sex to these people is purely about procreation and nothing more. Sad really.

I would think so too, but in one of the episodes the daughter in law says that they greatly enjoy intimacy because they waited for it for so long. Who knows, it could just be for the cameras, but that's what she said. They are after all living in this century, they are on television, etc. so some of that has to rub off on them. But then again, you never know what's real and what's not.

And Jill and her husband clearly have chemistry. Did you watch the episode where Jim Bob took her to wherever he was missioning to meet him? Clearly a lot more than side hugs going on

Or, she is going to feel very liberated, especially if it is Jinger or that 13 year old tomboy who rolls her eyes when she has to act like a good traditional wife in training.

That might be an answer to their prayers.

I think you mean Joy-Anna, who is 16. My bet is on her for Most Likely To Escape.

Seriously, though. So frustrating and hard to care given that they are being weirdly fame-whorey about it.

I don't understand this attitude at all. It's not like the fact that someone else is pregnant has anything to do with you getting pregnant. Also, why are we surprised that a 23 year old is fertile? That is when your body is "supposed" to reproduce.

You don't understand it because you haven't been through it. Lucky you!

The infertiles think everything is about them.

I'm one of the PPs that is being bashed. I just said it is hard to care given that they are pimping out the pregnancy 3-4 weeks in. That seems imprudent at best and silly at worst. I don't hate her or begrudge her being pregnant; I just don't care. I don't watch the show, and I don't find the fact that a 23-year-old can get pregnant easily to be front-page news. I do think it sucks when you try for years at the same age and people who take it for granted have it come to them easy. It isn't anything against her or anything about me, it just brings it to mind. For example, if you had an illness and struggled with it for years and someone else got cured after a week, you'd be happy for them (or not care) but probably a little bummed for yourself at the same time. That isn't some psycho selfish response - it is human nature.

In a society where people kiss the ground mothers walk on and motherhood is considered one of, if not the greatest, milestones a woman can accomplish you can kiss my ass. Nothing is about us. Promise.

You guys are shitting all over a 23 year old newlywed for being pregnant because you're bitter about waiting until 40 and not being able to. It's
not about you - her getting pregnant has absolutely nothing to do with you hags.

I am the PP and am in my 20s.

Cool. This girl did NOTHING to you and isn't undeserving of being pregnant just because you can't be.

NP. Stop being so damn mean. Let it go.

Not that PP, but seriously, how the hell is that statement mean? Your not liking something doesn't make it mean, sorry. I think it's kind of mean to make every other woman's pregnancy about you. I'm sorry that you're hurting PP, again, there is no pregnant lady cap. Her being pregnant is not the reason you aren't.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious to anyone with a functioning brain. Top of your class I'm sure.

I didn't start this conversation out of nowhere...the infertile moms are the ones who brought up the topic of who is deserving of a pregnancy.

Sorry - hit submit too soon. I'm one of the PPs that is being bashed. I just said it is hard to care given that they are pimping out the pregnancy 3-4 weeks in. That seems imprudent at best and silly at worst. I don't hate her or begrudge her being pregnant or think she doesn't deserve it; I just don't care. I don't watch the show, and I don't find the fact that a 23-year-old can get pregnant easily to be front-page news. I do think it sucks when you try for years at the same age and people who take it for granted have it come to them easy. It isn't anything against her or anything about me, it just brings it to mind, so I sympathized with the original poster. For example, if you had an illness and struggled with it for years and someone else got cured after a week, you'd be happy for them (or not care) but probably a little bummed for yourself at the same time. That isn't some psycho selfish response - it is human nature.

I haven't watched in a while, but she was always my bet for Most Likely to be Gay.

Yes especially since in the bible it says that in order for woman to go to heaven they must bare a child.

Oh come on.

Women have one night stands all the time with people they just met.

How is this any less weird?

Because it was her first kiss too.

Especially given all the ridiculous assumptions and misinformation that posters write, solely to try and drum up hatred.

Of all the things to be obsessed about, this is one of the ones I find the oddest.

If posting here means a person is obsessed then congratulations; you're obsessed.
