Likely they planned the wedding night for the most fertile part of the month.

To me that's the part that sucks the most. Oh yay, I'm a Duggar female, now all sorts of people (my husband and probably even my dad) are all over my cycle and fertile times. Shudder.

?? Getting upset about made up nonsense if bizarre. I think it is creepier that a bunch of strangers are dissecting her cycle, her fertility and her sex life.

This is hardly big news. We know they just got married, we know they don't believe in birth control and have openly said they want as many kids as God gives them. What did we think was going to happen? Why does it really matter if it's a honeymoon baby or if she got pregnant 4 months later like her sister-in-law (Josh's wife) did? At the end of the day these couples believe you get married to procreate and they don't believe in BC, so they aren't going to spend the first couple years just hanging out when they can get their family started.

If they didn't want strangers discussing that stuff, they shouldn't make a media spectacle out of it. Really, if they make the information public it's their fault.

Yes especially since in the bible it says that in order for woman to go to heaven they must bare a child.

Lol no it doesnt

It says it in Timothy

Probably not "bare a child" though. You must undress a child to get into heaven? Don't think so.

I believe all they said was that she was pregnant. Can you point me to where they discussed her sex life, her cycle or her fertility?

Of course they did.

Let's see if they have a 37 weeker that weighs 9 lbs.

It wouldn't say whether or not they were having sex before marriage. My husband and I when we started going out we decided not to travel in the same vehicle unless a chaperone was with us. We crossed the border from Canada to the US to visit his uncle and aunt once. In separate cars. For apparently the same reason as the Duggars and others have chaperones. We had decided to not hold hands either till after we were married, though that wasn't how it turned out since we did some hand holding for pictures and at the wedding rehearsal. That all said, even though we never had actual penetration till a week and a day after we were married we almost must have conceived that time. I was pregnant. And 10 months later we had our first baby. He was early, born at 38 weeks and 4 days, I believe the due dates we decided on(every place I called to get a midwife calculated a due date and I had 3 of them though I don't remember any of them anymore). He was born at 6 lb 7 oz. The next 2 boys were also born about the same early so I would guess that the due date was pretty close. But the other two were almost a lb larger. The oldest is still the skinniest! So how heavy or early their baby may be born doesn't say the were having sex before they were married.

You had a small baby.

It's Duggar, not Duggard.

I'm happy for them! It's a shame so many people use up so much time hating this family. Get a hobby.

Oh come on.

Women have one night stands all the time with people they just met.

How is this any less weird?

Because it was her first kiss too.

It was her "first kiss"...whatever!

My first kiss was at the church we were married after the ceremony. Our first baby was 10 months or less later. And our first week was hanky panky. No penetration.

My sisters and I were probably smaller than my first baby at birth. Two of us were early too I believe.

It certainly isn't what I would want for myself, at all. I find mom and dad's level of involvement in a 23 year old's life a little.. strange.

It's how she was raised and what she wants. Hopefully she's as happy as her mom seems to be.

I find the whole show, etc. to be kind of like a train wreck, really.

Not true at all.

Generally barring any underlying medical conditions, 23 year olds are pretty fertile.

I wasn't fertile at 23. No underlying issues. You really never know.
