Seriously, though. So frustrating and hard to care given that they are being weirdly fame-whorey about it.

I don't understand this attitude at all. It's not like the fact that someone else is pregnant has anything to do with you getting pregnant. Also, why are we surprised that a 23 year old is fertile? That is when your body is "supposed" to reproduce.

You don't understand it because you haven't been through it. Lucky you!

Wha??

Are you not aware that she'd had no physical contact with a male EVER prior to her wedding day?

If you mean sexual contact, yes, I knew that. You really expect a couple of horned up young people to take it slow when they are finally given a green light? Especially when they've been brainwashed that they must consummate in order to be truly married?

And no one in that missionary freak show is having oral, lol.

Don't know if I'd wait THAT long -- but yeah -- in lots of conservative cultures where there isn't any real physical contact pre-marriage and sometimes even limited dating or time spent alone, the couple doesn't get busy right away. They may not announce it to the world, but I've had friends who've had arranged marriages tell me that they didn't consummate for a few weeks. They spent that few weeks making out and being intimate in other ways so as to be more "ready" for sex. I was a little surprised as I figured the DH would want to go at it asap, but more than one friend has told me that in many arranged marriages you go slow so as to build up for sex -- rather than putting a ring on it and then jumping in bed with a near stranger 2 hrs later.

In a society where people kiss the ground mothers walk on and motherhood is considered one of, if not the greatest, milestones a woman can accomplish you can kiss my ass. Nothing is about us. Promise.

They are special tests, clearly. Magical tests that confer pregnancy on anyone who pees on them.

You guys are shitting all over a 23 year old newlywed for being pregnant because you're bitter about waiting until 40 and not being able to. It's
not about you - her getting pregnant has absolutely nothing to do with you hags.

Not a PP. I don't agree that nothing is about you, but I do agree with one of the PPs that this woman's pregnancy is not about you. It has nothing to do with you. A 23 year old woman whose mother was also very fertile conceived without assistance or delay. That's got nothing to do with you. My easy first pregnancy doesn't have anything to do with you either, nor do my subsequent miscarriages and issues with secondary infertility have anything to do with you.

Don't know, but that would be so awesome.

LOL -- this is precisely why all dates and all communication is chaperoned. If this kid comes early and someone even alleges -- hmm -- a Feb birth, that means they must have gotten busy in May, the Jim Bob will pull out his file and say "they saw each other 3 times in May, here are the kids who chaperoned every date -- interrogate them. And here is where Jill was for every single minute in May outside those dates and these were her buddies that she was with at all times -- interrogate them." This is the exact reason why the family chaperones everything from dates to trips to the mailbox. Can't have any tomfoolery going on.

Cool. This girl did NOTHING to you and isn't undeserving of being pregnant just because you can't be.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious to anyone with a functioning brain. Top of your class I'm sure.
