The US most powerful trustworthy allies are Great Britain and Israel.
|
wrong. Everyone in the IC knows that Israel conducts espionage against the US with high frequency and intensity - much more than a 'friend' would. They are not part of five eyes even though we do share lots of information with them. On the surface, politically, israel is viewed as you suggest, but that is as far from the truth as you can get when you actually talk to or work in this realm. |
Let's focus on the terrorists shooting thousands of rockets. This is their 911, they didn't criticize us for striking Afghanistan. |
But as long as we are a Judeo-Christian nation , they will be with us In the end. If we are no longer a Judeo- Christian nation we're done anyways. |
I'm pretty sure a state guilty of war crimes, can be considered a terrorist state. But since you're bent on making some kind of analogy, attacking Afghanistan was clearly a really stupid idea in retrospect. Does the same apply to Israel's attack on Gaza? |
The craziest thing is that Christian support of Israel in the US, is based on some kind of anti-Semitism. They don't care about Jews at all, they just think the institution of a Jewish state will help bring about the end times, and second coming of Jesus. The entire idea is so screwed up. |
You mad? |
What? Not mad, it's just a very effed up concept, and fascinating considering how much "anti-Semitic" gets thrown around when one criticizes Israel, or the creation of Israel, when the real anti-Semites are those only interested in Israel so their religious prophecy comes true. |
True among many, not all Christians. But I know many like this. |
I don't know ANY like this. |
I agree not all Christians, though it seems to be much more common among the more Evangelical variety. |
Abrahamic religions are so silly. What did they put in the water in the levant back in the day? |
Well, not a ton of water to begin with. Relatively harsh climate. The need to invent deities to somehow gain psychosocial comfort and control over whether you could eat, live, or die. |
argh - should be psychological, not "psychosocial" - don't even know how that typo began! |
Hmm, if only Hitler had been successful. That's the sentiment I am receiving. |
