What the IDF are doing is not hunting down every Hamas rat and killing him. By killing civilians and children they are creating an unending supply of people who are so enraged, so desperate that they see no room for nonviolent negotiation. Every civilian and child life taken is just birthing a new Hamas supporter.

It's strange to think that when Hamas was elected, less than 30% of the current population of Gaza as old enough to vote. Most of the people there didn't choose Hamas. After this they may have no choice.

Taking pride in Israel and wanting to annihilate people are not the same thing. Israeli's have much to be proud of. Killing civilians in Gaza is not one of them.

In holland, there is a football team called feyenoord Rotterdam - and some of their supporters sing "Hamas, Hamas, Joden aan het gas!" (Translation: Hamas, Hamas, Jews to the gas)

They sing it when their team plays Ajax Amsterdam, their biggest rivals and historically has ties to the Jewish community in Amsterdam.

Why should israel get a pass from the west on being an ethno-state? No other western country is one and that is what people find distasteful.

Integrate the Palestinians, be a democracy, give them the same rights under a secular constitution. is that so hard?

They don't get much of a pass. The pass they get is based on the fact that when the nukes start going off , Israel is the only friend we have in that part of the Earth that can do anything to help us. It's national defense , which is governments first responsibility .
