I attended. I believe it was 34 spots and 380 applicants. Of the 34 spots, I believe the first ~15 or so went to siblings.
My kid was around #50 on the waitlist. Not terrible, but not holding my breath. |
P.S. Re: above post, the 34 spots and 380 applicants are for PS3. |
34 includes sibs. I wonder how many sibs? |
Never mind - just saw 15 sibs |
Pk3 380 apps for 34 spaces |
Honestly, as bad as those odds are, those are still better odds than I expected, considering it's a separate lottery and everyone who wants to can apply to the common lottery and CM. That's basically 9% getting in... yes, still totally bad odds if you really really wanted CM, but I don't know why, I thought there would be even more applicants. |
Ditto |
Curious when they will start making calls to those who got in. I think the chance for non sibs is something like 4% so sure we are not among them. |
Were there any spots for 1st grade? |
CM isn't as well known as many others and is relatively new. If it wasn't mentioned on DCUM, I would have never heard of CM. |
Yes I agree - would have expected more applications. |
50 is good - they said they got through 50 on the WL last year, and with the move I am sure they will go through more this year. Good luck! I wish they would post the list online so that I don't have to wait for a postcard. |
No spots for first grade yet. Everyone is on a wait list. |
Any spots for PK4? Thanks! |
I'm the poster with the kid who was around #50 on the waitlist. I could be wrong--someone who attended correct me if I am--but I believe there were 0 slots for any of the upper grades. Only PS3 slots were available. |
