I bet it begins with an M and her name is a combo name.
Meryl is an actual name, as in Meryl Streep...

We know, but find it mildly humorous that a woman named Cheryl should name her child Meryl.

I think she looks like lilly tomlins character "ernestine"! Look it up and you will see what i mean.

She has an obvious deviated septum which could have been from a nose break or just something she was born with. Give the girl a break.

I'm not in love with the shot posted above, but everyone has better and worse angles. I think she's lovely. I just think her styling for the Olympics wasn't flattering. If her hair hadn't been pulled back so severely, and if her make-up had been softer, she would have looked better.

Marfan Syndrome?

^^ Could be, but she is not exceptionally tall, and her arms and legs are long but in normal proportion to her body. While she is not busty, she does not have the concave chest that most Marfanoids do. Think Abe Lincoln.

No, go look at the photo under hypretolerism on wiki. I think she has Telecanthus - an extraordinary separation between the eyes - like Jackie O. had. http://omim.org/entry/187350, but the eyes themselves operate normally.

What do you expect from bitching dcumers sitting on their fat asses?

I think she's a beautiful skater, but somewhat odd looking.

Several have commented on her very thin figure. I don't think she's too thin... I think she's athletic. But I think she has the smallest boobs I've ever seen, (even smaller than mine!) and it makes her appear more thin than she is. Seriously, if I were her coach, I would've told her to pad her bra just a little. I'm not even sure she's an A-cup.

I agree. The next time OP and PPs are moaning about the unfair ideals and criticism of women's looks, they should look in the mirror. It starts at home. No one should be judging or commenting on athlete's appearances.

Grow up. The olympic ice skaters are primarily athletes but are also performers. Their events are more appearance driven than any other in the winter olympics. You have costumes, make-up, choreography that tells a story, music. The camera sweeps in for facial expression, which is a factor in scores. We are supposed to SEE the skaters not just marvel at their ski run or luge times.

Now do posters need to go to a nasty place about features Meryl Davis cannot control, i.e., the shape of her face, of course not; but it's unrealistic to expect no one will notice or comment on a skater's appearance.
