Grow up. The olympic ice skaters are primarily athletes but are also performers. Their events are more appearance driven than any other in the winter olympics. You have costumes, make-up, choreography that tells a story, music. The camera sweeps in for facial expression, which is a factor in scores. We are supposed to SEE the skaters not just marvel at their ski run or luge times.

Now do posters need to go to a nasty place about features Meryl Davis cannot control, i.e., the shape of her face, of course not; but it's unrealistic to expect no one will notice or comment on a skater's appearance.[/quote]
