Nope no avocado. Never got chipotle headache until very recently so something changed in the food. Don't know what but it can't be good.

On a tangent, I do not understand the appeal of Chipotle, even with their emphasis on fresh ingredients. Having my rice and meat and what nots all wrapped up together is just very unappetizing.

what nots? It's a burrito, ffs. Agreed it's not for neurotics who can't abide their food touching before it enters their stomach.

Move your bowels. My granga always said most headaches are from not having regular poops.

Second line has to be a joke, right? RIGHT?!?

They must be using MSG, every single time I have eaten at Chipotle, I have gotten a headache! I am allergic to MSG, so this is the only reason, I could be getting headaches.

Could be red pepper. I used to always have a coughing fit after eating there.

Um, you have a poor understanding of causation. More likely that something has changed with you. Like getting older.

I definitely get terrible headaches there too My guess is the salt. Finally did a calculation and for chicken corn tacos with brown rice, black beans, pico de gallo, corn salsa, hot salsa, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce (my fav) ... its 3,040 mg of salt!!! I wanted to cry after I saw that number. I just don't know how things can be marketed as healthy food and have salt contents that ridiculously high!

Try leaving out the tortilla!

I always used to get a headache after eating at Chipotle, until yesterday.

My husband and I would always split a sofritas burrito, and even though I'd eat less than half I'd get a serious case of the itis. I'd have a horrible headache and feel exhausted.

This week they ordered Chipotle for lunch at work, and it was a build-your-own sort of thing. I didn't see tortillas, so I just threw my normal ingredients in a bowl. Rice, sofritas, black beans, pico, cheese, corn, sour cream.

When I ate the fillings without the tortilla, I had no headache! I was so surprised. I'll definitely try this again to see if I can identify a pattern with headaches and whether or not I eat the flour tortilla.

My sister has a very severe gluten allergy (celiac disease), and she has told me that almost all of Chipotle's fillings are safe for her to eat. This really makes me wonder if I should go get tested too, since the symptoms of celiac disease aren't always gastrointestinal.

I was at Chipotle last night and saw an employee preparing a new batch of rice. He poured some kind of white powder into it-- it looked like he was pouring a large amount of salt into it.

My co-worker's son just got a summer job at Chipotle. Perhaps he can be our undercover source. I'll investigate and report back!

I too get headaches each time I eat there.I finally gave up trying to convince myself it was a coincidence or "headachy day". It's def the chicken rice bowls! I'm baffled! I suffered for 10 years until I discovered gluten gave me chronic migraines and muscle spasms. I can't figure out the other foods that cause me remaining sensitivity/headache but I'm trying. I find sunflower seeds or oil in many foods that still give me a headache. not sure if it's a coincidence. - But I checked the ingredients list from chipotle and what I eat at chipotle, they only use rice bran oil for these items. Thought it might be sour cream but tried a bowl without and still got the trademark chipotle headache. So frustrated because it's a one of a kind franchise - I love their sourcing of non-gmo, grass fed dairy source , move toward organic etc. I am going to go there and ask them to give me my food separated, so I can try each part individually(rice - beans-chicken -etc) and get to the culprit. I know it s weird but I must do it. I'll post whatever I might learn.
Here is a link to the ingredients page for anyone interested.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any idea on what might be causing this?
No. And I have an MSG sensitivity. I do know that pre-mixed spices like adobo and Sazon use MSG but I don't know if Chipotle uses those.

Every other time, some fool just overloads my order with sour cream and cheese, even though I say no.
