wow, I'm surprised so many people would move to countries with socialized medicine. |
You could start with the Netherlands, and if you're a bad girl, saint nicolas and schwarze pete (black pete) will take you to Spain ![]() |
Don't be a buzz kill ![]() |
I was suprised in a good way. Anyway, good food, good wine, good men = good for your health. |
Med climate, ocean, great clothes, wine, men, olives, = Italy!! |
South of Brazil or New Zeland |
France, Paris. I've never felt like I belonged in a city as much as I do when I visit there. But if I ever left, I'd probably end up in Germany, DH's home country. |
Second Thailand! Beautiful beaches, fabulous food, mountains, great clothing/textile industry, Bangkok is a major metropolis, everyone speaks english, Thai massages and spas... |
Our problem is that DH would want to go somewhere tropical and HOT, where the main attraction is playing in the water. Thailand. Honduras. I like cool, dry weather where you wear a sweatshirt in the morning and take it off when you've been hiking for a while. Plus some cities that aren't steambaths. Scotland, Or Scotland. Or Scotland.
We'd probably compromise on Italy where every form of landscape is accessible and you're a closer hop to some of the other places he likes. My family all comes from Italy. We know the beautiful places off of the beaten path. But our real fantasy move is right in the U.S. The San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound. |
omg the food in Spain is delicious! |
On top of the above, for excellent food, nice people, lots to do and a ton of islands = Greece |
Italy or Greece |
I really want to live in India, but I've never been there sooo....who knows. |
Brazil is a wonderful place to live if you have money thought. |
