If you had to choose another country to live in, where would you go?

New Zealand (except it is so far away from everything/everyone).

Canada, or pretty much anywhere in Western Europe except France. New Zealand sounds nice, but too far away.

Chad has excellent beef, and as for the smoked capitaine - fantastic!

I agree that spain has some excellent food too. The jamon of the acorn-reared pata negra - one of the finest foods in the world. fantastic tapas and pintxos. They don't do good salads though, which is why Italy wins the food contest, even though their pig-based products are not quite as good as those of Spain.

Let's create a country: clean as New Zealand, beautiful beaches as in Hawaii, great food as in Argentina, handsome men as in Italy, happy people as in Spain (they always have a reason to celebrate), music salons as in Austria (love the Musikverein in Vienna), the organization of the U.S., romanticism of italian cities, the cheeses of France, the jobs oportunities as in the U.S. (during good times, of course), history as in Italy and Egypt, great hair stylists as in the capital of Argentina, bike transit as in the Netherlands (and remember the future queen of the Netherlands is from Argentina), and...scented flowers all year round as in the tropical countries.

Everyone I know who moves to Australia loves it for the first year or so - great outdoors, lifestyle, even good food now in the cities. But after that they become increasingly bored. The problem is the people, I am afraid. Ultimately, as with Canada, the people lack any "edge", and become somewhat tedious.

Jamaica (November - May)
Sweden (rest of the year)

What an utterly ridiculous statement.

As long as the country has Zumba, I will be happy.

I would move to Greece in a heartbeat if I knew how to speak the language!

I would go to Argentina to eat beef (t-bone, sirloin), barbeque with Malbec, empanadas, have delicious capuccinos, alfajores and a handsome husband.

Belgium. It has everything the Netherlands has plus the finest food in the world.

Nice topic! I am 28 years old and have lived in UK (5 years), Africa(13), USA(7) and Dubai, UAE(3). I am currently trying to think of where to move to next and I have no idea. I hate the feeling of not belonging anywhere.

No, it's true. All Australians are really boring and tedious. You didn't know that? I haven't lived there, but I've been there a lot, and I know that personally, I got really tired of friendly, helpful people who enjoyed talking to Americans. I specifically got fed up with the fact that Australia is almost disgustingly family friendly. I mean, what country would bother building airports, even the tiniest ones, that have clean family restrooms/lounges, where not only are there changing tables, but also comfortable chairs to sit in while feeding your baby, and microwaves for heating up food? I could go on and on with my examples, but yes, I agree that Australia would be a terrible place to live and raise a family.
