That's funny, these are the two I would avoid. The damp cold in the Netherlands and the horrible food in Spain along with pollution are hard to take. |
What would be of the blue if everyone liked the yellow? ![]() |
Germany or the Netherlands |
Horrible food in Spain???? What do you eat here theU.S.???? Go to Chad, in Central Africa and you'll learn a lot. |
Thailand. |
panama |
Italy or southern France. |
Japan |
Italy or New Zealand, or Hawaii (it just feels like a different country) |
Australia. Maybe Switzerland too, but I prefer the warmth over cold. I would never want to have to move forever from the US, it would be horrible to me. But for a few years, why not |
To each his/her own. The food in Spain (to me) is really some of the best in the world. My brother-in-law moved there 15 years ago, so we know where to eat and what to do when we are there. Maybe if you are just a tourist with no inside knowledge of the country, you won't enjoy being there. For us, it's a mini-paradise! As for the Netherlands, the people are fabulously laid-back, smart, easy to make friends with. They are also open-minded and have the attitude of "live and let live" which I find to be such a breath of fresh air. Amsterdam, for example, is an incredible city that offers pretty much anything you want (unless you are looking for a Mediterranean climate of course). You can ride your bike everywhere which in my book is a huge plus. The food is great although traditional Dutch food is crap so you have to go to the ethnic places. It's also a child-friendly country. Lastly, the work-week is 35 hours. I'm not sure how much better things can get. |
Ireland or Australia or New Zealand.

France or Canada.

Greece! History, beach, food, hot men! |
I think I would like living in Italy, Spain, or Australia. Perhaps even Chile. But that is on speculation only, since I've never been to any of them. Out of the 3 countries I've been to (Japan, Canada, Philippines), the choice would be hard. Canada is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. I prefer tropical weather, but the Philippines has no jobs. Japan is cold, but I love their super-healthy, super-efficient, super-clean, super-respectful culture. It would be an adventure! |
