So, I went to an Ivy League college, and just before every reunion, people write in saying what they are doing these days, and there is a space on the form for kids names. I compiled them once out of curiosity. The top 5 boys' names are

Alexander
William
Andrew
Samuel
Nicholas

Girls:
Elizabeth
Katherine
Anna
Maya

Nicknames like Trey/Trip or chip or chad are another option (often required because the family or lineage names can be confusing with multiple people with the same name, or cumbersome if its a multisyllabic last name as first name) . Of course it would be extremely unpreppy to have a nickname as a given name.

These names and many of the previously mentioned ones are only preppy of they are family names that are middle names and used because they are John Brock Smith IV and Brock is used because his dad goes by Jay, Grandpa went by Jack and great-grandpa was John.

Otherwise, using these names is striverish and pretentious.

Uhhhhh or your dad could be a huge baseball fan and name you Brock. WTF, the lengths you people will go to to make yourselves feel superior.
