The OPM website says contradictory opening times- both 10 and 12. Jerks. |
| It now says not open to the public until 12, but open at 10 so I'm assuming that means you shoud arrive at 10 but if your office has a component that deals with the public (like passports or social security), the public will not be admitted till noon? |
It does not. It says to stay off of the roads until 10am and that offices are open at 12pm. Not difficult people! Basically, don't start your commute until 10am as the roads are unsafe. |
| COME ON SHEEPLE, YOU COULD SLIP ON THE ICE AND RUPTURE YOUR MUSTARD SEED-SIZED BRAINS! |
| Anybody been out there yet? What are the roads like? |
Not bad at all |
It does. It has two paragraphs. The first says that employees shoud stay off roads until 10 and that federal offices will open to the public at noon. Then right underneath, there is a second paragraph that says employees should stay off the roads until 10 am and THEN GOES ON TO SAY that offices will open at 10am. I invite you to look at opm to see. |
Re-open the website, and you will see the conflicting info. Most fed offices don't serve the public. There is a difference. |
|
SERIOUSLY? Roads are clear and it is not as cold as predicted. Go to WORK!
|
| The current info on the opm site is ridiculous. What time are we supposed to report? How can we get on the roads at 10 and arrive at 10? Or is it open at 10 but we just need to arrive by noon? |
I'm ready to go to work, but am concerned that if I go in now, my private building will literally be locked with no one there. They don't give us access outside of normal business hours so if the govt is closed, will my building be too? |
| This thread is a perfect example of everything wrong with the government. |
Why didn't they just switch the order of the sentences - Offices open at noon. Stay off the roads until 10am. That would be so much more clear! |
But then get rid of the sentence that says offices open at 10. |
No joke. There is NOTHING on the roads, people ! |
