I am a Fed. WTF? I can't believe they announced this. I've been with Feds since 1995 and they've turned into total wuss bags.

I WAH so I have to work whether the Office is closed or not....even if thers a blizzard.

Yes. But if you don't go in you will be charged the whole day or need to telework all day.

What doesn't seem to make sense is when they do the unscheduled leave/telework like last week. If the weather is that bad they give this option, those who can't telework either risk it to come in or are forced to use leave.

Bc if fed is closed schools are closed and you can't work at home!

FCPS is already closed for teacher workdays.

No, according to the fine print on the OPM website, if you are prepared to telework and tell your supervisor you are taking unscheduled telework, then you must telework the entire day. If you go in at noon, then you charge admin leave before noon and normal work hours after.

There is absolutely nothing happening in northern PG County, weather wise. Anything anyplace else? Why would govt. already have this announcement???
