| Does this apply to federal contractors too or just to govies? |
| If I can telework, am I obligated to start this morning at my regular time or not until 12? |
| My baby just pooped. What should I do? I went to the OPM website and there was confusing information about what I should do next--wipe her butt or go into work? |
Call your contract lead. But usual no work no pay for contractors. |
| People. If you opt to telework today, you must telework the whole day. |
| If you don't go into the office, you must either telework the whole day or take leave for the whole day. |
That's not true. The website advised congress passed a bill giving time to negotiate a resolution. Check back in 3 months. |
| Not true in my office PP..unless you were approved to telework in advance you can only officially telework when the office is open. I teleworked for two full days during the hurricane and was told I was not supposed to and it should be recorded as admin time off. Of course, I am doing the same thing this morning because I have work to do but you are definitely not required to be there before 12 unless you scheduled it in advance by my office's rules. |
Look at OPM. Clearly says you have to telework the full day. Your office is wrong if they say differently today. |
| Now the OPM wording has been changed to say noon opening for both public and Feds. |
They are drunk at OPM. |
| OPM's guidance is only for "employees regularly scheduled to telework" so that is not for people just making the choice today based on the weather. It also says that it is all ' In accordance with their agency’s policies and procedures, subject to any applicable collective bargaining requirements' so my office is not wrong. It just has different rules than yours. |

Opm changed website just now. Offices open at 12.
|
That is not exactly what it says. It also says that it applies to those who are performing unscheduled telework. |
| OPM appear incompetent. But some of the pps are not reading carefully. |
