What do you think about this house in Mclean?

So many homes, mine included, that had been slated for Langley and were, in fact, closer to Langley than McLean, got moved into the McLean district. I can't remember when exactly it was, but I'm 39 so it must've been 30ish years ago.

I am 39 and an LHS grad, and I remember this too!

I can see how the whole marshall/mclean sour grapes is similar to when it was langley/mclean. I bet in a few years the divide won't be there anymore.

Not sure what you're talking about. The "whole marshall/mclean sour grapes" thing consists of "Crazy Marshall Lady" waging a private vendetta and getting shot down.

Marshall isn't really on the radar screen for McLean parents or students, unless they live in the handful of apartments/townhouses in McLean zoned for Marshall, or are in the Marshall IB program. On the other hand, Langley and McLean are traditional rivals, like Lake Braddock and Robinson, Washington-Lee and Yorktown, or Stuart and Falls Church. Marshall's main rival is Madison, not McLean.

11:35 poster (LHS grad) back again to agree with the above PP.

None of the stores know what to do with food stamps. You'd have to teach them.

wow, people who can afford a home for $500K vs. almost $1 million...and the conversation turns to food stamps.

Reality has left the building...

Love both Mclean and Pimmit, I live in Mclean and also have a rental in Pimmit. I think that maybe in about 5 years Pimmit will catch up to Mclean, at least the Mclean that borders pimmit.

I personally think Marshall HS is over rated. The US News report can't just keep saying that the same schools are great year after year. Once in awhile they toss a bone.
