32. Been here about a year, I guess...not really sure. Love the snark, but hate the "that didn't happen/I call troll" people.

I love a heated debate, but don't like just plain "mean-girl" stuff. Very childish and shows that age does not equal maturity.

Where does their info come from?

There is embeded javascript in each page for Quantcast and Google Analytics that gathers data for usage analysis. Google Analytics doesn't have a way to make the data public or I'd be happy to share that as well.

I don't get it - if I log on from work, which I usually do, how could they know anything about age/income/etc? I often post from my iPhone too - wouldn't I then be on a different IP?

If you use DCUM from home, work, and iPhone, you probably look like three different users to them. I don't know how Quantcast works, but I suspect many websites embed their code and Quantcast gets an idea of your website usage. How they go from that to determining your age, education, and finances is anybody's guess. As I said, their data seems to make sense, but I don't know how the produce it.
