FWIW, I feel as though most of the summer the attitude has been pretty good. There have been flameouts (and quasi-stalking), but in general I think the ratio of helpful to crazy posts has been relatively high. Of course it could just be that I've developed a thicker DCUM skin the longer I've been on here (I think I've been on since the board began-- I really liked the listserv pre-board, and used the proto-board for nannies, back in 2003 or so?).
