Gross. My husband doesn't wash his hands... EVER

Anonymous
I work in a hospital so I wash my hands before I go to the bathroom as well as after: but we have supergerms and I'm more concerned about you than me.

At home: I'd not worry so much. My friend with babies and gallons of hand sanitizer is the one who is always ill.

What would be the point of that? I would bet that 100% of the women grossed out by OP's DH have had sex with a man who did not wash his crotch immediately before sex. So the question is, why is it unhygienic for a man not to wash his hands after urinating but okay for him to but that same dirty private part inside you without washing it?

Because his private part may be sweaty, but it wasn't touching gross stuff all day, such as metro poles and escalator handrails and toilet flushing handles. That he would touch you down there with that hand without first washing it is disgusting. His manhood isn't touching all that stuff, presumably it's tucked into absorbent cotton boxers or briefs all day.

Not washing hands after using the bathroom grosses me out more than anything else. Gross!

Very sensible. I take it you're okay with men not washing hands after urinating?

Well the only thing men touch when they urinate is their (possibly sweaty but tucked into absorbent cotton) private parts, and their hands are no more likely to have urine on them than said private parts, and we've already established that it's okay to put those private parts, in that condition, inside you. So why would they need to wash their hands?

My DH is close to the OP's DH. I am sorry but I make him wash his hands before eating or touching food. I also make him wash his hands after using the bathroom. I always keep sanitizers in the car. If I were you OP, I would make him wash his hands the moment he walks through that door.

I bet he just loves being married to his mother.

Op my DH used to be like this but once we had a kid, I insisted he wash his hands the moment he got home from work (he also takes metro). Now I force him to wash his hands when he gets home and before he feeds our child. he also NEVER washed fruits or veggies before eating them which I am also working on. If he wants to eat a dirty carrot, fine but I am trying to teach him to wash them for our kids! I dont get it either, b/c DH grew up in a country where they had to wash their fruit in some chemicals before eating!

This thread is hysterical. I don't really care about your DH not washing hands more often. What's really weird is how he fakes it and seems bothered by gettng his hands wet. Maybe he has some sort of sensory thing going on?

The focus of the question was about the dirty hands, not the dirty private parts. Men's hands get dirty from touching a lot more during the work day than their private parts.

Yes, we've established that men should wash their hands before sex because of all the nasty stuff they touch during the day (because we are accepting for these purposes that the world is a vile vile place and it's a wonder we even survive breathing the air that touches all that gross stuff). Now we're figuring out whether it's ok, hygienically, not to wash hand after urinating. Lots of people above don't think so, but my challenge is that if you let a guy have sex with you without washing his private parts, you're exposing YOUR private parts to exactly the same stuff that lead you to think it's gross for men not to wash their hands after urinating.

This thread is freaking hilarious.

Urine isnt the only issue. One word: smegma. If you are going to be having relations, you've gotta be ok with smegma, visible or odiferous or otherwise. That is your choice and an accepted expectation when you have relations.

It is NOT my choice to be touching your smeg because I unwittingly held a metro handrail. What do you not understand about that?? Privacy of ones own home is one thing. Dirty up your own home if you wish. What makes you think your smeg is clean to strangers? Do you honestly not get this?
