Michelle Obama's "large posterior"

Anonymous
I'm a southern conservative woman. I think Michelle Obama is beautiful and has an amazing figure. I would not vote for Obama at all, but I think he is a good dad. Michelle strikes me as a good mother and a nice person. I don't agree with everything she's done, but that doesn't matter. I think people need to be able to separate the politics from the person. Sometimes the person is just nasty (this applies both to Republicans and Democrats), but often the person might be a good person and their politics is just opposite of mine.

I would love to have Michelle's figure. The person that made the comment seems just nasty to me and needs a lesson in manners.

Sensenbrenner was way out of line with his comments. I think the story here is about how many old, out-of-touch white men are running this country. There are a lot of Sensenbrenner-types in elected and appointed positions and they no longer represent this country very well. But, instead of wasting a lot of energy on online forums, we should be trying to get them out of office.
He lives up the street from us and I can tell you that he is surely one of the most unpleasant, least approachable neighbors we've ever had. And, he is one of the most senior members in the House. Such an incredibly sad commentary on the voters who keep electing him.

I wonder what he wrote in the personal apology note her. "Hi Michelle, I'm sorry I called you a fat ass....but it doesn't matter because I already think it, I just shouldn't have said it out loud, TWICE!"

Michelle looks utterly beautiful in that photo. I am a black woman who has previously posted that I think she shows too much arm and shoulder but dresses quite stylishly. I estimate her size to be 12. She is quite fit. I think eating healthy food most of the time is a good goal. A cheeseburger once a week is fine but not every day.

She probably works out more than we sedentary people can imagine. I am smaller than she is but would take her figure -- big butt and all -- any day (unless I actually manage to lose the last 15 pounds this year; then I want to be me)!

Me, too - am smaller but would love to be tall like her and rock a dress the way she can.

I also think this comment points to the fact that some people can work out and be fit, eat right, etc, but will just never, ever be a size zero. I feel like she's setting an example of balance - healthy meals, exercise, and sometimes eats a cheeseburger. That's a goal to me!

She is absolutely gorgeous and intelligent and a good person. All things that Rush can't understand at all, and therefore is threatened by.

I still have no idea what is so offensive about encouraging children to eat better and exercise more. The Fed isn't coming to your house and fining you if you don't do it. It is just the First Lady's charity initiative, just like Just Say No was Nancy Reagan's. Considering the obesity problem in this country, I can't think of a better thing for the First Lady to devote her time to. She is a loving and devoted mother to her kids and I admire her for that, as well as for her work with kids around the country.

I think she has a lovely figure. She's tall and fit. Did you see the earlier posted picture of her (the chrismas tree picture)? Her waist is so small! So what if she has junk in the trunk? As the saying goes, real women have curves.

I like the Mall Run Challenge idea. Good luck, Sensenbrenner!

Um, okay. The examples you site above happened at least 50 years ago. We have done little lately to carry the 'Greatest Country in the World' torch you speak of.

She is in excellent shape! I am somebody that runs a 3:45 marathon. I could run miles around most of you. I lift weights 5 days per week. I spin, I pilates, I walk everywhere and rarely drive. My body type is on the muscular side with thick thighs. I am barely 5'5". I hate the way I look in jeans and actually look better in a bathing suit then clothes.

That is her body type. She can work out and work out and work out, but her figure is prone to that shape. As a woman in her late-mid 40s and after two kids---she looks fantastic. Some of the unhealthiest women I know are the sticks that barely eat and when they do it is crap. I also know some that are total skinny flab if you saw them out of clothes.

Mrs.O enjoys life and good food. It is a great balance. I eat healthy most of the time, but in my mid-40s and two young kids I am not going to starve myself to lose 5 lbs and not enjoy that wine and dinner with friends...including a big, fat juicy steak once in a while.

ummm, defeat the Soviet Union and liberate Eastern Europe? Play a huge part in overthrowing dictators in Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya ... provide a free market economy, the largest in the world by far, that raises the standard of living of billions worldwide?

This. It's just another symptom of "If them's for it, I's against it." Actually, it's more than that - it's reflexive opposition compined with delusional hysteria:

Michelle Obama: "Kids, and their parents, should try to eat healthier."
Unidentified wingnut: "Socialist! Dictator! She wants the FDA to come in with a SWAT team! I can poison my kids if I want to! You'll pry my curly fries dipped in Crisco and slathered in mayo out of my cold, dead, pudgy fingers!"
Michelle Obama: "WTF?"

Killing hundreds of thousands of innocents all in the name of bullshit politics? Yeah, those are good times!

She looks fantastic. The Senator is fat.

Why do fat men feel they can call women heavy? I'll never get it.

I didn't realize we went to war with the Soviet Union. Or that we ever invaded Eastern Europe and "liberated" it. And please inform me how we have raised the standard of living of billions worldwide with our free market economy?
