As for economics, I'll ignore the PP whose husband and her have "degrees" in economics. The world's per capita income and the lifestyle in the developing non-western world have exploded under free market economies.

The PP did not say this. She said she and her husband are both economists and disagree, which you apparently misread as the PP saying she and her husband both have economics degrees. They most likely do, but I wanted to clarify that the PP said they are economists by profession, not simply economics degree holders.

while I really adore watching boehner make an ass of himself, I have to say that I am tired of this short-term fix crap they keep coming up with. Although, I'm sure whoever does the countdown clock graphics on the web LOVES it.

I was ready to cry the other day when I actually agreed with something rick santorum had to say about payroll taxes in general. In the long run, they DO have to go back to their original levels. I do get that raising them now would be bad, but considering what they fund, we can't keep shortchanging the system.
