DH BS State University, MA private university, government employee making about 85k per year.

Dang, do these salaries make me feel poor and totally pissed off that the majority of U.S. citizens think federal workers are overpaid.

top 50 - yes she went to American U Washington College of Law - is that an issue... I wanted to distinguish his salary was not from a T-10 or T14 school, or from a crappy law school. is Top 50 not a good description?

I call BS. No one who went to Yale for law school would refer to it as both "top 10" and "Yale" You're either identifying it as Yale or at least calling it a top 5 (minimum) if you're not using the name.

Ok someone's jealous. Not wasting my breath to explain myself.

Not jealous and not PP, but also never heard anyone who went to Yale law describe it that way. Thus the suspicion.

I don't think DC is a well paid town. It's hard to get a job above $120-$135K.

15:10 - you got it. Most people have no idea. They think that those who "have things" i.e.: house/s paid for, old cars paid for, etc. have not *sacrificed* and/or have no hardships and/or are not helping others out that take most of their money?! Boy, are they stupid! And they wonder why they don't have as much as they *think* the next guy does?! It is so obvious and so very unbecoming. It seems the majority of this area, and it can be quite a downer. Actually, it seems the purpose of this post. Yet more ammo to feel entitled to what they *think* the next guy has. Yet another reason to try to justify being so GD judgmental. Yes, I'm annoyed. No, I should not be as it is truly their loss. Some people want it all an have NO idea how to get it. And that's my problem? HURL!
