| I am new here and just saw your post. Sending positive thoughts your way. Congratulations and I hope you continue to have a happy and healthy pregnancy. I had high FSH and had some doctors recommending DE. I did acupuncture, mind/body work, chinese herbal medicine, dietary supplements, and yoga in an effort to conceive. We were scheduled to do IVF and got a BFN naturally. (We also had male factor motility issues and I made my husband take supplements including Pycogenol). We had a healthy baby who is now a healthy little girl that based on how well she has done, came from a really good egg despite high FSH levels. I read Randine Lewis' book The Infertility Cure as well as Julia Indicova's book Inconceivable: A Women's Triumph Over Statistics and Despair and found them both helpful and inspiring. I delivered at 40. Good luck to everyone on here. I hope you have a successful journey on the way to motherhood. |
| I'm trying most of the recommendations in the books, but my DH has really low motility so my clinic does not think iui would work, and they won't even consider IVF since my fsh is 17. My DH is on supplements too, but I'm afraid we are running out of time at 41 and 44. |

PP-
My advice is to go to an RE/clinic who will see you even with high FSH- like Columbia Fertility. High FSH patients CAN get pregnant- Yes, it is harder, but possible- I have heard of many people in this category who got pregnant with high FSH with their own egg- It may take many attempts, and it may not happen, BUT it is possible. I have high FSH, too. Each month's FSH fluctuates, and while you are only as "good" as your highest FSh, when you hit a lower FSH cycle, you may just get that perfect egg. GL! |
| so does natural cycle IVF include ICSI? |
| Yes ICSI is included with the cycle we did. |
| My story: conceived in one month at 33 for #1 then it took 6 months to conceive #2 at 37, currently 40 and going on 13 months of trying for #3. Should i see an RE or just take supplements and hope for some miracle. Every woman in my immediate family was able to conceive in their 40's so it's kind of hard for me to accept that it may not happen on it's own. What should I expect if I see an RE? |
|
YES!!! See an RE asap!
You will answer tons of questions, get bloodwork/ultrasound done, (they will ask you to come back cycle day 3 for more tests), and then once all of the information is in, the doctor will recommend options. I have been very happy with Columbia Fertility, Dr. Abbasi. |
| Congratulations!!! You give many women hope and you are so brave to go through this and then post so that others can know that it is possible. Please keep us updated. Wishing you an easy pregnancy and delivery!!! |
| That great to hear with out using a donor!! |
