Wow, you'll be in the same boat as me. I'm 47 years older than my youngest and will be eligible for social security long before she graduates from high school.

To 20:05:

What is your story?!

To 20:05

Did you get pregnant naturally or with fertility assistance- donor eggs or your own? And how long were you ttc for that last baby? Details please.... =)

I am 43 soon, and approaching my 4th IVF (I have also had 4 IUI's.) They were all BFN.

I am looking for + stories to give me hope!!!

And to 17:52, What about you? Was this natural, w/ help? Donor eggs or your own? Good Luck!

OP here, I did 4 stimulated IVF's, all BFN's and 2 unsuccessful IUI's then decided to give natural cycle a shot before moving on to donor egg, so far this is the only BFP I have ever gotten so we are hopeful although we know there is a 50% m/c rate at my age.

So you're saying that NCIVF worked for you? I take it your FSH was low for your age?

And congratulations!

Congratulations OP! I had my DC at age 43 and we're ready to TTC again - I'm months away from turning 47.
Anonymous
No my FSH was 18 and my AMH was 0.3.

What fertility clinics/RE are you all using?

OP- How many eggs were transferred? What quality?

My understanding was that NCIVF was not recommended for older patients, high FSH, etc. What was the rational for doing NCIVF?

What exactly does a NCIVF protocol look like?

But it seems to have worked for you. Good Luck.

Not the OP but I'm 43 and 13 weeks pregnant from NCIVF, it is indicated for pt's with high FSH because from what I understand high FSH is an indicator of how well you will respond to medication NOT egg quality.
