Good luck with everything, including your CVS!
Following a successful round of NCIVF at Dominion, we went with Dr. Stern (at GIVF) for the CVS, and he was absolutely wonderful. We got the preliminary results back in 48 hours. They covered the most likely chromosome abnormalities and sex with a very high rate of reliability (99%, I think). Then got the final results within a week of the test. All good. |
| Huge congrats! Awesome news. |
This could be me! Except I did stimulated IVF (3 times) at 42 at DF...Dr. Stern was great. He did our CVS on twins! Double blessing of excellent CVS results and now we are parents to b/g twins! |

Wow, this is amazing! I'm rooting for you, OP! Keep us posted bc you give us older ttc gals hope that we might have a shot too.
|
| OP here, sorry for the delayed update but all is good according to the CVS, really can't believe it myself, but I'm allowing myself to be hopeful at this point. |

I'm assuming you meant the results of fast test for the CVS, the 48 hour turnaround, gave you great news! How exciting! Did you find out the sex?
I had a CVS with my son at 43 and all turned out well. |
| Not sure if my results are just preliminary or the whole thing, was so excited I forgot to ask, but I have an appt next wed so I think by then I will calm down enough to listen to all the stuff I need to know about being pregnant. Did find out I'm having a XX or baby girl!!! |
If the preliminary results came back great, there's a very very very good chance the 7 day will too, according to Dr. Gordon at Dominion Fertility, whose wife was AMA when she got pregnant with their son. I remember when the genetic counselor called, gave me the good news, I could hardly speak because I was crying so hard! She asked if I wanted to know the sex, and I remember that very well That was a great day in my life, so I get it!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Same here! I that moment very, very well -- for both my DD and my soon-to-be DS. For me, that's the moment the pregnancies truly felt real.
Congratulations, OP!! I'm so happy for you!!!! |
|
OP...Dr. D and Dr. G must be flipping their lids over your success! You must be one of their oldest (oops, most mature??) successes with NCIVF!!
Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!-- That is the gift of a lifetime! And your success really reflects the gift of DF offering NCIVF to us older gals. Just down right lovely news!! Signed- A Dominion AMA grad with twins |

I was the very first PP to post and I'll say it again..
WHOOO-HOOO!!! |
| I'm a successful NCIVF patient, but since I don't live in the dc area, I had to pursue DC#2 In Philly, I loved Dr D and really miss the DF staff. |
| OP here with an update, I had a 3d ultrasound last Friday and saw my baby girl, cvs/amnio/sonos are all normal so I hope everyone on this board that wished me well will have a Happy Mother's day by next year. |
