| I'm the PP: does that incldue the medication? Thanks. |
| No, it doesn't. You'll have to pay the whole amount upfront if your insurance doesn't cover IVF and you will get a pro-rated amount refunded if you don't make it, say, to the egg collection or transfer. |
| What clinic in DC metro area would you recommend for NCIVF? |
| ncivf requires no meds |
It does - hCG trigger shot, antibiotics, progesterone suppositories and couple other meds that are not worth mentioning. |
| There's only one in DC area that offers natural cycle IVF, it Dominion Fertility. |
In the DC area only Dominion does NCIVFs. |
| http://www.mcfivf.com/html/mini-stim.html The Muasher Center has some kind of low stimulation option. |
I don't think this is true - clearly the OP is aware that her age is a HUGE issue and has mentioned it in every post, not to mention trying all kinds of treatments etc before getting 'lucky.' Nowhere here does she seem to imply that her situation is common or easy. Congrats OP!! |
| PP I agree OP has not given the impression that her situation was a breeze and she has a CVS this week so clearly she is aware that there are still hurdles to clear. Some women just want to be given a chance with their own eggs before moving on to other options. I'm 42 and dealing with secondary IF, and I plan to move on to DE if we aren't successful with the next IVF, but I'm glad to have found an RE that has been honest but willing to let me try. |
| How soon after CVS do you find out the results? |
| I believe complete CVS results come in 7-10 days. |
|
Rapid results come in 48 hours. Chromosomes 13, 18, 21 and the sex chromosomes. (Those chromosomes that have a 'some what viable' trisomy...)
Full results come about a week later. |
| Thanks, the waiting is making me crazy, having spent so much time in the IF realm, I have no idea how to be pregnant. I didn't think it would work so I didn't bother reading all those pregnancy books, any suggestions on good ones? |

I liked Shelia Kitzinger, but she's pretty crunchy, so it may not work for you.
I just wanted to let you know I'm rooting for you. |
