That is not true at all. There are plenty of overweight women you see that are still married. This doesn't fit at all with the general public, may be a few anomalies.

It is not the end of the world but I am kind of annoyed. I was not expecting fitness influencer body but at least not dad bod flab.

Ugh OP you sound like my wife. I finally gave in and now she constantly gripes about how her adding more veggies to our diet made me lose 10 pounds in a month while her weight stayed the same.
