| I would limit contact to outdoors only. And I would not hesitate to remind them that vaccination is not only an important thing to do for the health of their child but it is also part of living in a society. |
The point is, who wants to spend time with selfish, ignorant people? “Oh, fun!” said no one ever. |
Presumably it gave their immune systems a head start in fighting the infection so that the disease was shorter and less severe than it otherwise would have been. This would be a good question to ask your doctor, who I’m sure can give you a more accurate and complete answer, as well as address any other concerns you might have. |
I’m the poster whose niece got sick, and this is exactly what her ped. said to my sister…vaccination meant the illness presented as less severe and lasted for a shorter duration than it would have otherwise. Plus, immunity does lessen over time (my niece was in HS). |
Is this nephew allowed to go to school without basic vaccinations? What state is this? I'd be wary of taking small children or elderly family members around your family if people never did basic vaccinations. Deeply stupid people are often supremely confident in their "research" on tiktok and instagram. The dumbassery alone is reason to avoid them. But regardless, I would never allow an infant or toddler or compromised older person to be anywhere near this nephew. This kids parents are a genuine problem in the world. |

Every one of these childhood diseases were TERRIBLE!
I was born in the 60s and shielded by vaccines for everything but chicken pox, which I caught in 5th grade camping with Girl Scouts. 55 years later, I still remember how awful I felt. Pox all over my body, throughout my scalp, in my mouth, near my eyes. You CANNOT be a good parent and skip vaccines. Your children shouldn't suffer because of your idiocy. |

In case you missed it: Canada has lost its measles free status https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/news/2025/11/statement-from-the-public-health-agency-of-canada-on-canadas-measles-elimination-status.html
It can happen in the US (look at outbreaks in many states) and it can happen with other diseases. If you are making an “informed” decision make sure your information stays up to date. |
Same. It's why we had 6. If only half make it to adulthood we will still jave a nice, large family size by DC standards. |
My mom is older and had measles when she was little before there was a vaccine. She had an uncomplicated case and told me she can still remember how intensely her head hurt. She and her sister were kept in a dark room all day because light was painful. Even the case that didn't require hospitalization was so painful my mom can remember the pain 70 years later. When the polio vaccine came.out my grandparents waited in line all day to have their kids get vaccinated because they personally knew people severely harmed or killed by polio. |

If you refuse to vaccinate you should have your tubes tied and darling husband should get a vasectomy.
if you get someone else's child sick you should go to jail. People should be able to turn you in for bounty monies. Oh wait red states already do that for abortions and misscarrages. If you don't vaccinate you are pro birth not pro human morons. |
Mom to girls 5 & 8 here ;I’ve never said anything about our political beliefs, we aren’t MAGA. We are more moderate. |

Anti vaxers are complete and utterly stupid. They aren't pro child or pro human. They are pro ignorance, death, dying and suffering.
Thank you MAGA idiots for falling for RFK jr and all the lies thrown at you. Unfortunately others will lose family members because of your stupidity. |
