Is stating that Gaza is a genocide antisemitism?

Every time I see the Israeli flag I get really scared.

Is it anti-Semitic to feel scared of Israel?

No, it's simply a false assertion, applying "genocide" to the wrong party. Genocide was what Hamas tried to achieve, and is what the Gazans teach their children is the solution to their problem of having Jews in the region. It is the core tenet of Hamas, the government of Gaza, and is preached in their mosques.

Self-defense is the correct term for striking back after Oct 7. You can argue that the ferocity of the defensive activity is surprising, but that doesn't alter its essential character - military action to neutralize terrorists once and for all, ideally while also securing the release of hostages the terrorists won't release without "encouragement" unless Israel accedes to their extortionate demands.

Yup, you're going to be nominated for antisemite of the year along the likes of Ms Rachel if you keep it up.

But in all seriousness, why do we care what the opinions of random ignoramuses on the internet who think there is no genocide and can only quote Hamas or October 7 as some type of counter argument?

We would be better off listening to genocide and holocaust scholars who actually know what they're talking about rather than some racist bloodthirsty Zionist.

Yup. Israel should not be striking back at Hamas after what happened on October 7th. How dare Israel try to get back all those who were kidnapped. Israel should have just let Hamas get away with the rapes, beheadings, burning people alive, dismembering and torture. Who cares that Hamas went into homes of sleeping families and shot them all in their beds and then helped themselves to the sodas in their refrigerators. Who cares that they chopped off the head of a Thai worker with a shovel. Who cares that Hamas shot up a bunch of young adults attending a music festival. Who cares? They are a Jewish nation that doesn’t deserve to defend themselves. If a bunch of so-called experts says something is a genocide, then by golly that’s what it is. Jews don’t deserve self-defense. Let’s call it a genocide instead of what this really is. People hate the fact that Jews won’t let the world destroy them. They are the first to say that Jews cry, victim, bu then are the first to say that Jews are victimizers. How convenient the use of “facts.”

How amusing, this poster just proved the point. The response to defend Israel's genocide is some incoherent rambling that includes hamas and October 7th.

I’m honest to God scared when I see the flag of Israel.

Some people will say it is, just like some people call everything "racist." But you don't have to care what every person thinks and also using labels like that waters down the term such that after awhile people shrug when it's used.

Sorry. Hundreds of genocide scholars, including Israeli ones, disagree with random internet person.

It's funny how Israel threw its reputation in the trash so quickly. I don't see how they recover from this on the world stage for a long time to come.

Trump, with some coaching from the evil Steve Miller, started in on that right away. He called the protestors pro-Hamas terrorist, anyone who was concerned early on about so many innocent civilians being killed antisemitic. That’s starting to taper down a bit because of the large amounts of horrific videos and pictures of dead babies.

There was one picture of a boy about three years old who died in one of the bombings, his arm completely black from being on fire. ISIS had some horrific sick videos of violence against their enemies. They showed beheadings, burned bodies. I don’t think they killed small children though. Not that they get any credit because they are 100% pure evil. But what does that say about a legitimate government burning children from a bomb that eventually kills them?

ISIS is a proxy group that is trained, armed and funded by Israel. There's a reason why most of their victims are Muslim and they don't attack Israel. They actually have been treated in Israeli hospitals. Netanyahu has admitted and used them to plunder aid in Gaza and kill the local population.

Yes. This. It’s not Hamas’ actions on 10/7 that stirred huge crowds of protesters to waive Palestinian flags, chant anti Zionist slogans, and question Israel’s right to exist. It was Israel’s response to 10/7 with poor scared little girls being gunned down, babies/kids shot in the head, and people in line getting food being slaughtered. I think in the history books it will be clear that Israel stirred up antisemitism rather than defend against it.

Tells you how much Israel has self-sabotaged itself that despite the horrors of 10/7, it has unbelievably managed to make itself the scourge of the earth.

Is this group’s privilege so ingrained in our society that it’s still up for debate in 2025 after siding and abetting a genocide?
