Got ours last Sunday CVS VA Arlington easy.

The NP is the prescriber. That's how my CVS vaccine record reads from my shot Friday in Rockville. It was in the pharmacy area but the NP was just sitting there watching. The shot giver was someone else. |
| I got it at a CVS in Hyattsville. I live in DC and no CVS, at the time at least, showed as having it when I tried to schedule. I am currently pregnant, which is considered high risk or whatever their language is. The online scheduler asked me if I was in one of the high risk groups (it lsited pregnancy as one), so I said yes and was able to schedule the appointment. They asked for no documentation then or at the time of the appointment. The pharmacist and I were chatting after she gave me the shot, and I mentioned that I was getting flu and RSV at my doctor's office the next week. She asked why I was getting RSV and I told her because of my due date. She was surprised because she "didn't notice you were pregnant." She didn't know or care that I was pregnant so it's not like they only "believed" I was in a risk group because it was obvious. I imagine you can just say you're in one of those groups and they'll give you the shot. Now, if your insurance covers it or tries to bill you after the fact is another story. |
Fine, the point is why does the pp keep saying the bit that "VA law forbids" blah blah blah makes it sound like you can't just make an appointment and get the shot in VA - which you can. |

Things have changed in Arlington and maybe all of VA. Pharmacies in Safeways and CVS at least some are jabbing! Odd I was at the Arlington Blvd one just now, no signs about it at all.

I received same email and took the next line as they are willing to vaccinate anyone willing to self attest Any patient who self-attests that they meet the FDA’s criteria may receive the vaccine. |
DP. CVS in McLean *refused* to administer the vaccine without an Rx last weekend. Today, the same CVS says the VA rules changed *yesterday* and now they can administer vaccine without an Rx. People are not making things up. They are reporting actual experiences. |
| I'm skipping it this year. |
Was not misinformed - the VA rules just were changed yesterday - per the Pharmacy staff at CVS in McLean. |
True. And I suppose we can all lie. But let's consider the sad state of our world where we need to lie to get our kids the medical care recommended by our doctors. |
NP. What changed? Do we still have to attest that we’re eligible or can anyone get it? |
Because a week ago you for sure couldn't which is whywe drove to Rockville. Not that PP but still... |
| Everyone in VA can get one now without am RX. |
