Has Anyone Got a COVID shut yet?

Thanks to those who have replied.

If you are not from MD, I suggest you call your Republican legislators (both state and Federal) to complain about how the appointment of RFK is interfering with your ability to protect your family .

Yes. My doc put in a prescription to CVS for under 65 years. I called the pharmacy and got an appointment. I was the only one lining up for a shot.

And it will ultimately limit the access to those in MD too, if we are required to cover residents from surrounding states with our supply.

(Health refugees now, in the United States of America! )

That is not health freedom.

(And it is certainly NOT making America healthy again)

How so? Do you think every medication should be available without a prescription?

We're not talking about EVERY medication you dimwit. We're talking about vaccines that were previously accepted for wide use, and now people are scrambling to try to get the same level of medical access they've had in past years.

That is not what we are discussing.

We are discusing a new barrier that has been unnecessarily inserted into a family’s path, should they want to secure a vaccine for their family.

That makes it LESS accessible, for no valid scientific reason.

Do it for those of us who are in DC and have no one to call!

We live in DC and got our shots at two different MD CVS locations. It was very easy. Made the appointment online, saying we had qualifying health conditions. In both cases, no questions asked when we arrived for the shots.

I wouldn’t worry too much about supply; even before the current insanity, covid vaccine uptake unfortunately was very low. At the CVSs we went to in MoCo, they did not seem to have any concerns and seemed happy to be administering the shots.

I made an appointment at Minute Clinic in VA - I am assuming the Nurse Practitioner can prescribed give it to me at the same time?

Most people aren't trying to get these shots anymore
I dont know the exact percentage but it has been quite low the last two years. If you want the shot I wouldn't stress about it. Seriously no-one is going to fight you for it.

At a pediatrician appointment yesterday for my 9 year old, was asked if we wanted flu and covid. I said just flu. They gave the flu shot and that was it.

My 9 year old does have adhd so I don't know if that factored in to it being offered to us? Doctor said, no problem, and no further discussion on it.

When I filled out the online scheduling form, I had to certify that the three of us all have one of those medical conditions, but I didn’t have to specify which one, not even for my teenager. Very easy. Happy to be living in Maryland right now.

We are driving to Maryland next weekend to get ours. I am happy to be fat since apparently obesity is a risk factor.

The nurse somewhat gave me a hard time since she kept say the supply is limited and these really should be for ppl over the age of 65

Sounds like a Trumper. Don't give her a moment's more thought. Good for you for protecting your health.

You don't know the exact percentage, because you're making up antivax garbage, and you have no legitimate citation for your antivax "feelings". Try reading and looking at data, and not spreading misinformation.

Interesting thought. At a minimum, ought to be able to write the Rx. I might try this.
