PP. to be clear, they have the vaccine in stock but are not allowed to give it to me due to VA law (which was passed by Democrats decades ago). I have two qualifying conditions.
In VA, you'll need a prescription, but pharmacists otherwise can administer it to you.
Correct. True for everyone, including 65+.
false.
Virginia's laws do not currently allow pharmacists to administer the vaccine without a prescription.
Stop. I'm not sure if you're intentionally being obtuse. But CVS Minute Clinic in Virginia is administering the covid vaccine to under 65 yr olds. The NP who game me my shot yesterday said I did not need a prescription (even though I brought one with me). Side note: no till effects from the covid & flu vaccines!
The NP is the prescriber. That's how my CVS vaccine record reads from my shot Friday in Rockville. It was in the pharmacy area but the NP was just sitting there watching. The shot giver was someone else.
Fine, the point is why does the pp keep saying the bit that "VA law forbids" blah blah blah makes it sound like you can't just make an appointment and get the shot in VA - which you can.
