Kate Middleton's New Hair

She's been through some real sh*t. This is how she feels attractive, her hair has been a key piece of that identity, I would guess, for many years. She has had deeply painful losses...of her health, probably her identity as a strong athlete, as a young woman, etc. So maybe it's a bit too much, a bit of an overcompensation (length, curl, color) but my guess is she will likely tweak it. As for the earlier picture of the shorter hair, I imagine she will do that when she becomes Queen. And when she ages a bit more. She still wants to feel young as the mother of young children.

People should wear their hair as they want but I am personally over the long waves. I think wavy texture is great but looks better with a shorter cut. I really like Rose Byrne's hair texture and length, for instance, and think it would look great on Kate:

That is very obviously a wig. It's a poor choice; someone on her team let her down.

Yes, and in fairness to Kate, her long hair is kind of her "thing."

I think she just needs a better stylist for this. The color is not blended well and it’s too thick at the top especially in that picture where she is facing forward with William. I have extensions sewn in at this very moment, and it is a learning curve. A big part of it is making it flat on the top so it lays in a natural manner.

This is so weird to me. If you follow seasons coloring shes a classic summer and she obviously knows it based on her choices 90% of the time. This color is aging her face as much as anything else and also, I think adding to the wig impression (even if just extentions) because it looks like it's sitting on her not part of her natural coloring. She looks best in soft cool colors. This is too warm

Agree. Mostly because the roots seem natural, esp. around her ear/ temple--too natural in fact, because they are dark and throughout. Extensions maybe.

She has a small face and can’t carry big hair that comes forward around her face.

She should get a haircut like Cindy Crawford where the front pieces sweep back away from her face. She can keep a lot of the length as long as it isn’t so big on top and brushes away from her face.

Her face looks quite old. Like early 50s here. Maybe the blonde contributes to that.
