While Justine Bateman has morphed into ET and obviously is an arrogant know-it-all, she isn’t wrong when she critiques Hollywood on myriad issues. |
Are you sure it is safe here??
Lol, because I still have yet to find anywhere “safe” on this forum (yet!) But I will bite anyway. Haha! • I happen to not care about Travis + Taylor’s engagement news today. And am dreading hearing about it every time I turn on the TV, go online, etc. I think it will be akin to “TomKat” 20 yrs ago. • I think Pete Davidson is quite handsome lately though I didn’t use to for the longest time. He looks healthier than ever and looks better without all of that ink scattered all over his body. • I am appalled that Kanye West can say the most atrocious stuff - - yet people still worship his music & presence. • I actually am on the fence about the Kardashians…..some days they annoy me due to their privilege yet some days they inspire me that one can be a huge success…..if one knows how to adequately market themselves correctly. |
I think that Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker are physically u-g-l-y.
Mean I know but I just do. They have ugly faces, especially their chins and noses. Sarah has great style + fashion sense while Jennifer has beautiful hair and a body to die for. I think Giselle (the model) is sort of unattractive - - she has a minor horse face. |
Star Wars (in all iterations) is an overhyped nostalgia trip.
R. Kelly is grosser than gross, but the Ignition will always be a jam. |
lol same. i hate the way the fandom woobifies him and vilifies belly and jeremiah (even though i don't like the latter two as a couple). i think the huge break between seasons made ppl forget conrad was a douche. i read the books as a teen and always thought guys like conrad don't change. |
I think that ordinary people who Instagram their lives are attention whores. |
Agreed. I don't like the look of BBC adaptations. It's being presented in a visual medium after all. |
Ted Lasso is an absolutely terrible show. |
Hard agree! I'm not a prude but a lot of shows feature pretty graphic sex scenes for no discernable reason, story wise. It's like how a lot of streaming shows have characters swearing a lot because they can get away with it, whereas on broadcast and basic cable you can't. I'm not clutching my pearls, I just think it's lazy. It's like these shows are being written by 13 yr olds who are just so excited to be able to get away with using the f-word and showing boobs. |
Jeremy Allen white is ugly |
I think she makes awful career choices and doesn't get her own appeal. Agree she's not funny but she does SNL a lot (her husband writes/directs shorts for them also but he sounds like a huge jerk) and I think sees herself as a Gilda Radner type. She also loves avant garde movies and fashion. But to me it all comes off as so self conscious and it really takes me out of it as an audience member. I hated Poor Things -- it felt like a bunch of pretentious theater kids skipping around thinking they were making Art but it was just bad. I cannot believe she won an Oscar for it. Hollywood is so obtuse sometimes. |
He is but he's also insanely charismatic and a very good actor. The Bear makes me laugh because sometimes they will do these closeups of him where it's like "yikes" -- he has such an awkward profile and a weak chin. But he can look handsome to, at the right angle and with the right styling. I think he's such a compelling actor that he can convince you he's good looking. |
Agreed, and the Gwyneth Paltrow version of Emma is one of the best film adaptations of a Jane Austen novel. Paltrow is not a great actress but she's really great in that role and it is just a beautiful, charmingly comic film. |
Mr. Belvedere was the greatest sitcom of all time.

They should reboot BJ & the Bear. |
