This is my vote. Something is vibrating that didn't vibrate before.

OP's vibrator probably.

Try elaborting the storyline a little more and adding it to this thread.

It was one of the most entertaining on this forum for a while.

Do you have a doggy door?

Animals can come in that way. My friend came home one day and found a bunch of cats in her kitchen eating her cat's food and that was the only way in.

Sometimes when we put things on top of the fridge, a small part gets kind of placed ont he fridge door and if you open the fridge door it falls off.

Can the dog open the fridge door somehow?

Yes he does this regularly to grab a beer.

Same thing happened to our house. Turned out mice was coming in from the walls.
I'd move the fridge to see any holes behind it.

In this case and any others involving mice, you’d see mouse droppings on the top of the fridge. Are there any there?

I had a cat that loved bread and would regularly tear open any plastic bag to see what was inside.

A lot of people in the comments had stories if people living in kitchens, closets, garages.

So make sure you don’t have a squatter.

This is a fear of mine. Not from internet stories but because of real life things that happened to my family or friends.

As a kid, we rented a house from a woman whose childhood best friend lived next door. She didn’t tell us that the neighbor had a complete set of keys to our house or that the house had been used by neighborhood kids as a place to drink or do drugs while skipping school. Most of the trespassers were otherwise respectful and we wouldn’t have known, but one was sloppy and my parents figured it out.

I’ve also had friends who had food, alcohol, and toiletries vanish after moving into a new home. One set a trap by turning up the hot water heater after he suspected someone was living in a crawl space and showering. Another was eating dinner when the man hiding in her house walked out with his bag.

We had some thing like this in our first house - back in 2003. It had been sitting empty for awhile, was in a gentrifying neighborhood, and had a large dog door. We found a woman with toiletries in hand peering through our windows one day. When we asked her what she was doing she said she didn't think anyone lived there. We finally put together why the dog door cover didn't fit quite right.

I'll add to the above postings.

We were settling an estate. House sat empty for way too long, but had to settle some affairs before placing house for sale. Eventually I realized someone was using the house. Small, very subtle signs. Clincher one evening when I was checking on the house - it was already dark outside - something dropped in the basement and made a loud resounding sound. I had my German Shepherd with me so I was pretty sure whoever was down there was more scared of us than I was of them, but left in a hurry anyway. Super annoying to be forced to wait on selling the house, but it was what it was. They didn't take anything or disturb anything.

I figured if someone needed shelter and wasn't disturbing anything then God bless them I was going to try to be understanding.

Because everything you see on instagram is real.

It's a recording. You can't fake that.

Of course you can. But I did read a follow up article about this and the woman was arrested.

How big was the cabinet? I can’t imagine a full grown adult fitting in a cabinet. We manage to put a basket of supplements up there, but it would be a squeeze even for my toddler

We don’t talk about Bruno.

There is no way a raccoon is content with just throwing the bread on the ground. Come on now.

This is why my vote is on a squirrel. When we had the squirrel in the house it didn’t eat anything but just jumped from high place to high place like a maniac knocking things over.
