Who's throwing my bread?

I keep my bread on top of my fridge. When I got home from work today, the loaf of bread was in the middle of my kitchen floor approx 3ft from the fridge. I thought it was weird but put the bread back up there. Then left to go see a movie. I just got back home and the bread is in the same spot on the kitchen floor!
How is this happening? The only ridiculous theories I can think of are 1. A mouse is up there flinging loaves. 2. My (old sleepy) dog is body slamming the fridge and knocking bread down. 3. My ex husband is breaking, entering, and rage loafing. 4. I have a ghost. Help. |

I just saw an IG reel of a guy who put a camera in his kitchen because he thought his GF was eating his food, which she denied. A woman crawled out of top kitchen cabinet that was higher than the fridge.
A lot of people in the comments had stories if people living in kitchens, closets, garages. So make sure you don’t have a squatter. |

Do cars or trains vibrate your house?
What is upstairs above the fridge? Do you put the bread on a slippery surface up there? Like a silicone cutting board? |

No cars or trains (quiet suburbia) Just the ceiling is above the fridge (ranch house/no upstairs) It's not on anything just sits on top |

If the bread was close to the edge and the fridge has a vibration, perhaps it was vibrated off the top over the course of a day.
Have you got any cats? Otherwise poltergeist for sure. |

No chew marks on bread bag or anything else up there. I've kept my bread there for 9 years and it's never fallen off. My dog is 14 and cant jump into the car or on the bed anymore. No cats or other animals. |

Op here This would have never crossed my mind and now I'm sleeping with my lights on. I'm a single woman who kept the house in the divorce. Have my kiddos here half the time but the other half I'm alone in a big 4 bd house. I do have my dog though. |

Sounds to me like your kitty 🐈⬛ kat is climbing on top of your refrigerator & pushing the loaf of bread over the edge.
It’s likely just pure coincidence that the loaf landed in the same spot twice! Lol! Don’t have a feline in your house?? Well mine died last month sadly 😿 so it could be that he is making the rounds as a ghost….just having a blast scaring the heck out of people like you! |

Did you get on a chair and inspect the top of the fridge? Any other unusual things, markings etc up there? Do you have a cabinet that opens over the fridge such that the cabinet door could push the bread onto the floor? If so, did you inspect in there?
