Using pick up spots as regular parking spots.

I have thought a LOT (probably too much, frankly) about this correlation to the original thread - double parking in front of box store and have come to a single conclusion: it’s the price we pay for living in culturally diverse place.

I thought these spots were a remnant from the covid times and Target hadn't gotten around to taking the signs down. Kind of like the "stand 6 feet apart" stickers you see on the floor sometimes. I don't make a practice of parking in them but they always seem to be empty at my Target.

That's because you're a nasty, entitled man. Grow the F up.

LOL. F.u.c.k off.

NASTY, ENTITLED, MISOGYNIST MAN BABY.

+1 Lack of empathy definitely indicates a Trumper post. Every time.

So many times I have gone for my weekly sams club pickup and there are no pick up spots available-then i’m waiting in a regular spot and notice that many of the cars in the pick up spots are empty. Why? All the time at target too.

I just don’t get it. I have so much to do today and of course that’s the case today. I am amazed by how many people think that they things don’t apply to them.

Just a rant-so many people just really don’t consider others.

Stores need to do away with pickup.
L A Z Y!
What did you do before pickup?

Stay mad OP. I park in expectant mothers too! Last I checked they can walk too.

It's cute that you're accusing others of being lazy. : )

Right? I do pickups because it saves me an hour out of my day and I have a full time job and 3 kids. I would say trying to fit as much as I possibly can into each day is the opposite of lazy. And it’s actually a privilege these days to have the time to browse around a store and shop. Most of us simply don’t have that kind of time.

No one forced you to pop out three kids. You're not special or more important than the rest of the people who walk into the store to spend money.

You know anyone can schedule a pickup right? it’s not some special group of people that you are choosing to hate. They have paid for their items same as you do in the store. I’m not sure why it bothers you that there are spots reserved for them to pick up the items they have paid for.

So not legally enforceable so who cares who you are inconveniencing right? You sound lovely.

Sorry, if its 50/50 between me being inconvenienced vs. you, I choose me every time.

Its not like parking in a handicapped spot. This is for the store's convenience, and yours. Not mine.

and this is what's wrong with society. It makes me sad that people have this attitude. Just follow the rules, it's not difficult.

Oh please, I don't care that there are special spots for them to pick up, but spare me the neusiating "I'm too busy to go in because I have three kids and a job." You're just too lazy to go in.

I don't park in legally required handicapped spots. I also didn't park in spots that are designated for pregnant women or law enforcement because that's a decent thing to do. I don't give a shit about some arbitrarily assigned online shopper spots. You're not special.

What rules? The ones that Target arbitrarily made during the pandemic and you're trying to force on me now?

PP is following the rules. If pick up is so inconvenient for you now, go in the store and get your stuff.

I park in pick up spots all the time. They are usually empty and closer to the entrance. I also park in the spots for EVs that are not recharging stations.

These spots were added during COVID. COVID is over.

Rich people use personal shoppers on the apps to do grocery delivery to their home. I find that the pickup spots are ALWAYS empty at our local grocery store. I would not begrudge a person with mobility issues, physical ailments, or wrangling young kids if they parked in that spot.

I thought those were leftover from Covid?

I don’t park in them because I’m a rule follower to a fault, but, I get annoyed when it’s raining and 8 spots are open directly in front of target with those signs and I’m parking 12 spots back with my baby in the rain for, seemingly, no true reason.

I feel the same way about the 10-12 electric vehicle spots in front of our Whole Foods.

Rude behavior seems to trump any basic manners in this area.

I only notice correlation the other way: the people I know who can't be bothered to step foot in the Target are the people who can't be bothered to find parking at the Starbucks.

Yup, it’s the people popping in to pick up their order who jam up the street, the bus lane, the fire lane at our local Starbucks. Inconsiderate.

I do this one too. At one of the grocery stores I frequent, they're labeled "fuel efficient vehicle" spots which seems rather subjective to me.

pick up was a thing before covid. just for all you grandmas on the thread who seem to think it was only for that and somehow just leftover. what if I told you you could go on pretty much any store website that has a local branch and schedule a pickup. would that just completely blow your mind?

Pointless virtue signaling.
