Using pick up spots as regular parking spots.

I'm honestly going to park in one today just because of this thread.

Why would someone's use of a parking space for a store's customer anger you if the user is a customer?

That's because you're a nasty, entitled man. Grow the F up.

This is a COVID-era legacy that needs to go away.

Park in a regular spot and go inside the damn store!

OP thinks her money is somehow better than my money. I'm spending money at the store too, you know. You're not special because you're too lazy to get out of your car to shop.

Target has two long rows reserved for pick up. There is never anyone in them. I wouldn’t park there but it seems like poor customer service. They also don’t have self checkout open anymore when o go and the checkers are so slow so I really try to just over order from
amazon now.

+2. I’ve given up on Target. Between the empty “reserved for pick up” spaces, closing the self-checkout line after years of forcing people to use it (“oh, people were stealing”—no s*it, Sherlock, nobody saw that coming) and, my personal favorite, get a $15 Target gift card for spending $50 on household items. However, I buy $100 worth and can’t get 2 $15 cards unless the cashier splits it into two transactions. Which the cashier does upon request. However, it’s poor customer service. Why not just take $15 (or $30) off the bill? Why bother with the gift cards (which also can’t be used in the same transaction to lower the bill)?

I wouldn't park in the pregnancy spot or obviously the disabled spot.

Yikes. It's not just about convenience for customers picking up, but about safety for the store staff making drop-offs in the parking lot.

I also use these spots if there are no other close spots. Not sure why the lazy pickup people think they are special. They aren't paying extra and in fact the rest of us are subsidizing the salary of all those poor bag runners!

Stay mad OP. I park in expectant mothers too! Last I checked they can walk too.

Rude behavior seems to trump any basic manners in this area.

“THIS AREA” is the key. It’s the DMV.

Very few area residents grew up here. This is not their home, and thus they don’t treat it like home.

Rather, all the “Type - A,” people, the strivers, the ladder-climbers willing to step on anyone/everyone to get ahead: those are the people who DC attracts.

Notice how this area is also solid Blue / progressive democrat?

It's cute that you're accusing others of being lazy. : )

Not one that was ever pregnant, thankfully. You're still disgusting.

Right? I do pickups because it saves me an hour out of my day and I have a full time job and 3 kids. I would say trying to fit as much as I possibly can into each day is the opposite of lazy. And it’s actually a privilege these days to have the time to browse around a store and shop. Most of us simply don’t have that kind of time.

No one forced you to pop out three kids. You're not special or more important than the rest of the people who walk into the store to spend money.
