I work in military higher education and we were told there was no money to fly professors to speak at other military universities across the country, no money for travel to academic conferences, no money for guest speakers - and yet apparently there is money to fly over 6000 people to Washington to wear COSTUMES depicting troops from various historical eras -- so it's kind of like a Broadway production? Personally I think educating our enlisted and officers is probably contributing more to military readiness than dressing them up like extras in some kind of weird cosplay -- but what do I know?

Five million dollars to the family of a QAnon nutjob who climbed through a broken glass window past a police barricade and was shot after disregarding repeated orders from law enforcement to stay back from the barricaded Capitol chamber.
