We are “real Americans “. I’m sure you already know that.

Only one side are real Americans

Trump said he’s running for a “ forth term” and that following the constitution is well he doesn’t know.

One can not be an American and support Trump it’s not possible

The constitution is a thing if the President of the US doesn’t support it then he is king and the US is gone and America no longer exists.

The Bill just passed by Repukes in the House gives him control as King you dam fools.

Welcome to North Korea

Expect to see Elon Musk on the reviewing balcony excitedly waving his arm.

The 250th birthday of the US Army seems like a big deal to a lot of people and many are glad it is being appropriately recognized. There are actually almost 3 weeks of events with the parade being just one event.

This is not how this event should be “appropriately” recognized. We do not do this kind of bs in the USA because we aren’t the freaking Soviet Union or North Korea, got it, treason weasel?

I mean, we sort of do this type of event every week in our country. NFL flyovers, Fleet Week in NYC, the Andrew’s Air show etc. We celebrate our military all the time and appropriately so.

I’m sure it wouldn’t happen, and I’m not into their music, but if Bruce and Taylor had a DC concert on the day of the parade, I’d go.

I work in military higher education and we were told there was no money to fly professors to speak at other military universities across the country, no money for travel to academic conferences, no money for guest speakers - and yet apparently there is money to fly over 6000 people to Washington to wear COSTUMES depicting troops from various historical eras -- so it's kind of like a Broadway production? Personally I think educating our enlisted and officers is probably contributing more to military readiness than dressing them up like extras in some kind of weird cosplay -- but what do I know?

No this is not the same

The US is not only in Debt we never flex our Military it is shameful

We do not live in North Korea or Russia this weakens us

Trump is not king ewe don’t do this .

Our Military takes an oath to the Constitution not to a President or dictator

There is money to pay a settlement to Ashli Babbitt’s family. Five million dollars to the family of a QAnon nutjob who climbed through a broken glass window past a police barricade and was shot after disregarding repeated orders from law enforcement to stay back from the barricaded Capitol chamber.

This is appalling. I hope that all of the LEOs and military — and those who love them — are paying attention to this travesty.

How about we move it to next year to coincide with AMERICA's 250th?

Why does the parade cost so much? Can't we just get a good firework show set to music?

NGL- it would be the biggest crowds DC has ever seen. Free Taylor swift concert?? My daughter would camp out for a month for it

I saw that the Jan6’ers will be marching at the head of the parade. Apparently they are all get free Tesla cyber trucks.

Also there will be floats with billionaires throwing TrumpCoins to the crowd. After the parade all democrats and independent members of congress will be arrested!

Anonymous wrote:I know it’s a small thing compared to the complete waste of money the whole thing is, but June 14 also happens to be the date of graduation for Jackson-Reed High school and School without Walls. Meaning that somehow 500 families living mostly in NW DC have to get to SE to the Sports and Entertainment complex in the middle of all fo the madness AND Walls families have to somehow get to the GW campus. So basically it one more reason that this complete waste of money is also a huge pain for local families.

Good lord. Why is JR graduating on the other side of town? Thats an outrageous trip even with no parade. Why not at AU or UDC?

Which is bigger: 4,200 or 1,500 (UDC)?
With about 500 graduates and their families UDC would not make sense, unless there’s a bigger space that I’m not aware of.
Does AU usually make their spaces available to DCPS for things like graduations?

Yes, Deal usually graduates at AU.
