Pharma stocks were way down this morning when people thought this was a real thing. They have now spiked once everyone realized it was just another Trump press release.

This. The extortion is unacceptable and add insurance to the mix and only the tax payer suffers. No one should be forced to turn down medication because of the cost, particularly when their tax dollars went to fund the R&D.

The key difference is when Clinton/Obama/Biden announced something constructive on drug pricing, the right wing propaganda machine went into all out attack mode about how it was socialism, would ruin innovation, etc.

When Trump announces he’s cutting drug prices with absolutely no plan to make it happen, the same propagandists are falling all over themselves to praise dear leader.
