I've consistently heard great things about Snoop for well over a decade. |
Paul Newman. I didn’t really meet him, but his grin at a student who had no idea who he was, totally made my day.
|
Going kind of old school…
I met baseball legend Willie Mays when I was a kid. He was very nice. My grandmother was on a train seated next to Billie Burke (Good Witch in the original Wizard of Oz movie). She was apparently very nice & signed a post card that I still have. |
Too bad we weren’t at same party at same time! I will say I was asked after the event who had been nice to me and I instead talked about who I observed being nice to waitstaff and the help when people didn’t think they were being watched as they was more genuine as you said. |
I believe this. He took care of his wife who had Alzheimer's for a long time. That's says a lot about him. |
Honestly, DC is culturally similar, if less glamorous. |
Marty Stuart. I inadvertently parked shitty thereby blocking all access to his Escalade in a Nashville parking lot.
-he- apologized to me as I idiotically attempted to slooooowly back out and repark (and back out and repark) my car between the lines without ripping off his side mirrors. Just stood there behind his SUV, patiently, and wished me a good afternoon |
Warren Buffet. I’m an Omahan and every good thing you hear about his normalcy is the truth. |
DH met Muhammad Ali on a flight. He was very nice and actually drew a picture on a napkin and signed it. |
Kevin Bacon. He filmed a movie in my neighborhood in the mid-1980s and made a point to know all the kids’ names, to go house to house at the end to sign autographs, and to be available generally to people who were interested.
This was right after Footloose, so he was a crazy big movie star. Really genuine guy. |
Awww that Kevin Bacon story is great! |
Trivia. My dad knew him growing up in Cleveland. Newman's cousin lived two doors down and used to visit. But of course back then it was just kids playing. |
My nephew met Barkley at a bar. Down to earth and personable. |
I knew someone who knew his mom. They sounded like a nice family. |
This is really cool..I like how he still lives In a normal suburban house in Omaha and he talks to everyone like a regular person. |
