This is really cool to hear. A couple of years ago there was a story about a man from Iowa who died, and Charles Barkley was at the funeral. It turned out that the two met at a hotel bar in California and became friends. They would meet up when they had business in the same city. The man had told his family and friends that Barkley was a good friend, but they thought he was exagerrating. They  realized it was true when he was at the guy's funeral.[/quote]

Barkley is the nicest ever. bar none, seriously. That guy is so down to earth, no airs and just a good person.  I've had a number of friends who randomly found themselves meeting him and told me stories about him - consistently same MO of being a real person. [/quote]
