I remember when Arlington went to DA. Arlington will be in Ga in a year. The club goes which ever way the wind blows. The boys side needs it and the boy side tend to generate more money for the club vs girl. If Arlington girls teams are strong they will get the same or more exposure in GA.

The club makes the money with the Ulittles and that pipeline refills every year.

If the fact Arlington applied to GA early this year doesn't prove they are looking to move I don't know what proof you need. Doesn't matter if they didn't get in. They applied. That's fact. At this point don't believe what any clubs says because until you're on the board you don't know what's going to happen.

It's just like politics, they say what's needed for the present time.

The press release says they did not apply. What proof are you speaking of?

they didnt apply because of behind the scenes crap. Should ask them did you at all investigate MLSNEXT. The answer would be yes. Now they are in wait and see mode. Going to very untrustworthy if something happens after next season

Why? MLS Next doesn’t suddenly make you a pro. They sent 4 or 5 kids to DC United Academy this past year. Teams are competitive in the ECNL and kids go to college and play. What else do you want?

Most clubs in the region are dysfunctional in some regard. While DD hasn’t played a season for Arlington the social media confirmation of who they are and what they want to be is a huge plus point in my book simply because so many other clubs can’t seem to string together enough seasons without trying to rebrand themselves as something new or better. I give Arlington kudos for communicating a clear and frankly taking a double down approach through a consistent message on who they continue to be. How anybody can argue that reinforcing who and what you are is a bad thing should experience the other side of the coin with clubs that seemingly ebb and flow season to season through the league affiliation and club partnerships game.

Thankfully my daughter is in an older age group for girls and can see the light at the end of the tunnel regarding her playing career pre college. I won’t miss the dysfunction of Mid Atlantic soccer.

Guess what, I know it’s hard to hear with your ECNL hat on….if she was going to college in ECNL, she was going to college in GA.

I never said my daughter plays ECNL, we are currently on a GA team. All I said was that like many others we spent significant time recently at tryouts and attending some post tryout practices/ID sessions. Arlington's was the best run. IF the team's communications seem to only reinforce my positive view of the club from an outsider whose daughter has never worn their uniform. And as far as where she may or may not go to college you don't know my daughter.
