They are not choosing the girls program. They just don’t see the merit in MLSN for their club. If it works out for other clubs and Arlington loses boys players, guess what, they move to MLSN. |
Yeah -- If your DD was a top player she could make it from GA or ECNL. It is the middle and the bottom of the teams where ECNL proves its worth. The bottom of GA goes no where. |
I guess I do not see the decline. I see GA falling further and further behind in college recruiting. the agreement with MLSNext is pure desperation. The agreement provides nothing and also makes little sense. I do not see many clubs except bottom feeders moving to GA. ECNL is stronger with CI gone. NVA was great and why they left makes no sense but the ECNL teams in NOVA will now be better. A bunch of the top GA clubs are supposed to leave this year for ECNL. If that does not happen it will be the first sign GA is getting some traction. |
| so sad they are so scurred of losing revenue so they had to post |
What proof do you have that the top GA teams are leaving? Are you aware that they are all MLSN/GA? Also, just think about this for a second. As college soccer limits roster spots and looking to offer scholarships to kids in the transfer portal, the league you play in won’t matter. It will be the club. Your SLSG’s, MI Hawks, Nationals, Surfs, PDAs, TopHats, CUP, MVLA, IMGs, CITY SCs, Solars, Blues will still be on top. |

Sheesh there is a lot of garbage spewed on here. Arlington addressed an issue and they get called desperate but if they had stayed silent it would have just kept going. Obviously it is effecting some things at the club. Can’t play high school in MLS Next.
NVA - didn’t want to leave ECNL girls. They also said ECNL girls is still the best league, not the GA. They do like where the GA was going though CISC - got their feelings hurt. Weren’t planning on leaving until they loss a ECNL spot. They then didn’t even get what they wanted in MLS Next McLean - MLS Next 2. They are not the same as NVA Top players are still going to go top colleges. The best players should end up at MLS Academies. The chance that it is your child, is veeeeery low. It could be yours, but it’s very low and that’s okay. MLS has one goal and that’s to run soccer in the US. MLS Next will help fund the failing MLS Academies. Business owners don’t like losing money. |
They all confirmed 2 months ago that they were leaving 14 months later?

They are not moving in a year. Not a chance. |
| The GA is a joke, Champions Cup in the 2010's only 4 teams in the nationally ranked top 50. And those 4 teams were ranked as follows, 7, 24, 45, 47 and everyone else ranked between 51 and 221. Scouts were mainly assistants and only watching a few older teams that won it all. Total money grab flying to Norco and Bradenton this year to play the same few teams. Moving to an ecnl team next year. Their baseline showcases feature 20 to 30 of the top 50 at each event and have twice as many scouts and college head coaches attending. Trust me, if your daughter has the ability play for an ecnl team. I wasted a lot of money going to these two events. Not good soccer. |
| All rankings are slanted to give ECNL league and Tournaments play more points towards rankings than GA points. It's a slanted system, GA teams have to play more to get the same amount of points. The rankings, while helpful, and not even close to accurate between leagues. |
ECNL is just a different flavor of mediocre soccer. You could have just said that. |

ok the "rankings are rigged guy" how about game performance for proof. Last year Nationals won overall club champion and sent 3 age groups to GA National Championship Game with their 10's winning one. This year in the ECNL Midwest with most of the age groups done with the season their place in each age group.
06/07 8th place 08 3rd place 09 4th place 10 3rd place 11 3rd place 12 8th place that's only sending 4 or 3 to the ecnl playoffs whereas last year every age group finished 1st in GA Mid America conference. And if you look at their social media they consider these results as a successful 1st year in the ecnl. Proof that the most dominant club in the GA is just a middle of the pack club in the ecnl. |
| VDA will go before Arlington because they want their boys in MLSN and on the girls side BP was at a GA club before anyway and will still have his marketing machine irregardless of league. |
I mean, WGAF? You’re this invested in two leagues that are marginally different? |
